Ich bin seit zwei Monaten bei Gemsy. Am Anfang bekam ich wirklich schöne Rezensionen, die den Wert meines Buches wiedergespiegelt haben. Dafür und dass man etwas gemeinsam für sein Projekt tut: 5 Sterne! Allerdings nehmen nicht alle das so ernst und scheinen das Buch gar nicht zu lesen. Dann kommen Bewertungen wie: "Tolles Buch", was nicht hilfreich ist. Das wirkt unglaubwürdig. Dass es von Gemsy einfach hingenommen wird: 1 Stern Der Support antwortet schnell und schafft Probleme teilweise aus der Welt, aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass sich um "lästige Themen" nicht gerne gekümmert wird. Dafür drei Sterne. Fazit: Gut, um relativ schnell und einfach Rezensionen fürs eigene Buch zu bekommen, aber mit einigen Nachteilen.

Gemsy.io is a very helpful platform for authors, especially since nowadays very few people write reviews at all — and when they do, it's usually only when they have something negative to say. On the other hand, those very reviews influence buyers, which is crucial for visibility in the first place. Customer service is excellent if you go through your account via Help > Contact Support. They usually respond within a few hours or even faster, and they keep communicating until the issue is fully resolved. Top-notch!

I absolutely love that Gemsy allows no content to medium content for reviews. However, you need to vet your reviewers a bit more. My first review was a three out of five star. The reviewer put he/she thought it was something else when the description told them what it was before they reviewed it for free. This review tanked my ratings. Looking at the person’s history on Amazon, it’s a pattern. I believe this is the reason why I prefer my ratings organically. At least the customer would have purchased the book for the reason listed and reviewed it for what it was; a blank composition notebook. Not saying I was looking for a five star but it’s a pattern with this person and their ratings on Amazon. Until Gemsy does something about people just rating and adding idiotic comments, I will be cancelling my account.
