Honest sellers and good gear
Good place for getting quality gear at reasonable prices. Sellers are usually honest about what is and what is not included as well as the condition of the item.

hi.I used to sell stuff on GT but i prefer ebay. To make an listing here takes way too much time. Picking gender...than confirming that the listed item is either mens or womens - too much time wasted.Pictures uploading-same problem.i have to go with one picture a time(when you have 10 pictures it really take too much time to list an item)Also, communication with buyers/sellers is bad. Many of my sentences are getting lost(or not shown in full) so the seller have no idea what i'm asking about etc.I'm not sure why backcountry went on ebay...(I guess they want to boost business/ebay is known internationally).Bottom line,I like GT and i will keep looking for good deals!

I love the idea that this is primarily the site for Backcountry's returns and damaged goods. You know their products are authentic and you can find some decent deals on quality outdoor gear. Unfortunately, the search engine is just terrible. You type in a few key words in the search bar and it brings back garbage. Honestly, its probably the worst search tool I have ever used on any site. I even took the time to contact customer service a year or so ago and I defined the issue in a way that they could easily replicate the horrible results. They responded saying that's the way it is and I should try another method to search. Try it -- type "XL Jacket" in the search box, then sort by "price lower" and see what comes back on the first page. I'm left truly bewildered. So I go less often to their site and search through their offerings less often...not really knowing if I'm actually seeing/finding the products I'm most interested in.

GearTrade.com is a great place to buy or sell good sporting goods items but a couple things could be better. When you make an offer on an item it takes forever for the seller to respond & it's almost always rejected. If you do buy something there is almost no communication from the seller, you just hope that it shows up.

I adore geartrade, both for buying and selling, but on more than one occasion I've ended up with shoes that are too small, boots that are too big, and dresses that just don't fit. I really wish some sellers would allow returns within 48 hours or something. The chance at getting a bad fit keeps me from buying more often.
