My husband and I live in a house without children. We’ve lived here for a little over six years. We are now on our fourth refrigerator third microwave and second dishwasher. There are no words for how corporate GREED has captured General Electric. I left a review previously after the first failed. They reached out to me and then dropped me like a stone. I would not purchase a GE appliance if they were the last appliance dealer on earth there are no words for their greed do not buy anything from them. I shouldnote/what they did to was sentd us a zillion emails advertisements to purchase their GE appliances so I had to close my email account Such unscrupulous greedy behavior. You know that they know they’re doing it.it’s intentional They don’t care about the poor folks. This is all to put an extra penny in their pocket Si don’t ever purchase a GE anything I even had a toaster that failed after three months AND to think I used to purchase GE and only GE I had a refrigerator that lasted 35 years and it only ended up in the dump because it was falling apart, but it still worked. They should be ashamed of themselves.But they aren’t. I imagine your plan is just burn people out on purchasing their appliances, but there’s always a new crops that doesn’t know any better.

My GE laundry center broke down upon its first use and multiple calls over weeks to GE have told me a manager would call me back but they don’t. No calls back, just a dryer that never worked.

I started replacing all my major appliances with GE. First was the washer, six months later the dryer, three months later a dishwasher and then 4 weeks ago a microwave oven. When I purchased the microwave oven I purchased a 2 year extended warranty. Well the microwave stopped working so I called Lowe’s where I purchased it. They gave me the run-around and told me to contact GE service. They too gave me the ole run-around and told me to call a third party service facility. These guys told me that they don’t send their techs out to fix microwave ovens. They gave me a long song and dance of sending me a Good Will Certificate but I have to wait several weeks before receiving it. My question is since when does this come under a good will gesture when their product failed 2 months after purchase. I was supposed to be covered under a manufacturers warranty or the 2 year extended warranty. Isn’t it the responsibility of the manufacturer to make good on their products, this isn’t good will, this is the cost of doing business in the US. My times have changed when a former reputable company like GE turns into a sleazy cut throat company to match the times where in. Seems like foreign companies have more honor than companies like GE and Whirlpool. They’ll do anything for a sale and tout to the public that they care for their customers.

I ordered and PAID for a new Profile dryer. This was the second delivery attempt. I had contacted Bodewell office and resolved the issue with them about a gas line - they said it was ok to use my new, 3 week old gas line because they did not have the length I had. The delivery driver came with a new one in hand and I casually asked him why he had brought one with him as the office told me they took the charge off my bill because it was ok to use mine as we had discussed. The driver became extremely arrogant with me and took off with my dryer. I called the office and reported what happened. they said the order was cancelled . I never got a call from a manager explaining why - just cancelled the order on whatever their driver said. VERY UN PREFESSIONAL. I will never order from Bodewell again. GE - YOU lost a good customer. How can you cancel a paid for order - without investigating what happened? Where is customer service rep ? This driver should not only be reprimanded but his manager as well. I already bought another dryer from from a reputable local company....and it wasn't a GE. I hope you investigate this and put people that care about your business in place instead of the ones that do not.

I bought a GE Profile Clearview window AC unit, installed it, and ever since the first bad rain, it's been shutting down and tripping my circuit breaker. I have to wait two days for it to dry out, and then it happens every time there's any significant moisture in the air. Now it's completely broken, even though it's still under its one-year warranty. I set up a service call, and they came out, leaving me without AC for a week in Florida. The technician ordered parts, but they are now on backorder with no end in sight for when it can be fixed. They escalated the problem, but I'm still getting no help despite my repeated inquiries. They should have replaced the unit then, but I've already gone out and bought a better brand unit. Now, this GE unit is just a rusting pile of junk in my garage that they won't fix or replace, with no end in sight. Avoid GE at all costs. Update: On the 28th, GE emailed me with the promise of a new unit. I had hoped they would have offered this right away instead of escalating the concern.

I tried to get the hinge on my gas range fixed. It broke after only 3 years of use. GE appliances does not service my zip code. Wish I knew this when I purchased the appliance. Got the run-around and spent 90 minutes in the phone. It is out of warranty so it would cost almost $300 to get the oven door fixed with just a new hinge!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I don't waste time writing reviews, but I am so pissed and disappointed about all of our interactions and experiences with Bodewell Appliance Care that I felt compelled to get it out into the universe. The matching cabinet panel fell off of our Monogram dishwasher and we were unable to get it back on because the flimsy, cheap metal used on the dishwasher door was completely bent and mangled. We called the supplier who submitted the service request to GE who sent out their contracted "service experts" at Bodewell. At the initial appointment to fix the dishwasher door, THE TECHNICIANS BROKE THE CIRCUIT BOARD and had to order a replacement wiring harness to make it work again. Dishwasher was out of commission for a week until the new harness came in and the technician was able to replace it. Upon getting the dishwasher to work again, the technicians completely forgot about the INITITAL ISSUE and the door/cabinet panel was never addressed. I had to call and schedule another appointment for a technician to come out and inspect the door, SINCE THERE WAS NO RECORD OF THE INTITAL ISSUE. Technician came by and just said we needed to order a new door. Fine. Door, gets ordered, technician shows up, replaces the door, puts the panel back on, tells us not to pull the handle too hard or the panel will fall off again, door slams open THE SAME DAY because the tension was not set correctly for the extra weight, and THE PANEL FALLS OFF AGAIN. Call immediately and they say another technician will come out in 5 days, but we will be their first stop. Fine, whatever. Appointment day (widow 8am-12pm), no one shows. 11:30am I call and they say the technician will call me with an ETA. 12:15pm no call no show, I call again and they say I am not on the schedule and there is NO RECORD OF EITHER OF MY LAST TWO CONVERSATIONS. Offer me another appointment the next day 12-5pm. I decline because I am not waiting around for another 5 hours, and I ask to be escalated to get an exact appointment time. Support team says there is no way to do that, EVEN FOR A CUSTOMER WHO HAS BEEN SCREWED OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY THEIR COMPANY. The only thing they can do is request that we are the first stop on the day of the appointment. I understand that mistakes happen, but our experiences with this company HAVE ALL BEEN DISAPPOINTING AND FRUSTRATING, and the worst part is that we can not ask for or receive any compensation because this is all being done under warranty! What an awful business

Would give 0 star if I could. Don’t let their service installers “quick contractors” into your home. Installer caused flooding in my basement. The installer didn’t even care, while I ran around with bowels and towels trying to save my basement ceiling. He was rude and aggressive at the end when I refused to sign the form that says I was fully satisfied with the service. I can’t believe he even had the gaul to tell me to sign it. Now a week after the set screws are falling out on the floor. Nope, do yourself a favour. Hire someone else.
