AVOID GE APPLIANCES. I bought a GE washer and it broke down after less than one year. I called the warranty service and a they arranged for a third party technician who came multiple times and ordered multiple parts. I've currently been without a washer for over two weeks and no one at GE or the third party can tell me any information about when to expect the part to come in and have a working washer. I've wasted hours on the phone back and forth between GE and the third party and no one can give me information or is any help at all - the last conversation I had with GE they told me the part might be on back order! Then they offered me $50 towards going to a laundromat - I have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old and work full time, being without a washer is seriously impactful and I have no time to go to a laundromat and wait there. GE should be sending me a new washer asap, even better would be to reimburse the cost of the washer so I can buy a different brand. Having 2 broken parts in less than a year is terrible and I'm very worried for when the warranty is up. Save yourself a massive headache and STAY AWAY from GE Appliances.

GE Range dead on arrival
Bought a new GE Range. It was dead on arrival but beyond the ridiculous Lowe's 48 hour return policy.
I went on GE's website and scheduled a service based on one of the "available" appointments. That appointment was cancelled without notification and I was informed the website listed appointments are not really available, they are just customer desire. I only found out the appointment was cancelled when I called GE.
Next I was told that because of my location, which is 1.5 hours from the nearest large city that the locating team would find a repair company to fix the range. After waiting over a week, I recieved a text saying the second appointment had been cancelled.
I asked to speak to customer care on my next call and was told I had to wait another 72 hours for the locating team to find a repair company. I was also told that if they can't find a repair company that I will be "allowed" to find my own repair. Wait, what??? I didn't buy a brand new appliance because I wanted to spend hours trying to find a repair company.
We will see how in goes in 72 hours, but I will never buy another Haier appliance. I say Haier, because GE Appliance is just another one of their brands after the 2016 purchase. I would have never purchase a GE appliance if I knew it was Chinese company.

Deceiving and Dishonest
This company should not even get 1 star. They are full of dishonest and deceiving “business” practices. There is no accountability for appliances that do not work properly, even after the first use of a supposedly brand new product!
I purchased through Canadian Appliance Source and they are just as bad as they pass the buck to the manufacturer so that they do not have to take any returns. It took the company weeks to contact me and even longer to finally send someone out, which is their policy. They treat people like they are foolish pawns in their money making. Under any other circumstances if you buy an item that does not work you can return it. But both CAS and MABE/GE say that if you have used the unit they WILL NOT take it back, only MAYBE try to fix it if it is not working. How does that make any sense? You can not know that an appliance is not working properly until you use it. I let them know immediately after use expecting an exchange for a working prodect. They insisted that a technician has to come out and look at the product, but also that there is no hope of a return. After the GE "technician" looked at the unit in my house they actually lied and said it is working the way it is supposed to.
I bought what I thought was a top of the line dishwasher for nearly $900. It claims to be an energy efficient model with 3 racks, a food garburator, and all kinds of cycles and settings, but it only gets even the slightest of dirty dishes on a half load clean on the OVER 3hr long heavy sanitary cycle. How is that working like it is "supposed to", if none of the other cycles work? How is it energy efficient if it must run over 3 hours a day to get 3 means a day breakfast, clean? That's nearly 10 hours a day, running essentially ALL day! This means that a previous load sometimes does not even have time to finish before needing dishes for the next meal! This was suppose to be the best model I could find for a large family like mine and it has instead caused continuous distress for it's lack of functioning, cost to the energy bill, and time it takes to run, disrupting those times when ANY other dishwasher I've seen would have worked on a quick cycle.
It was like pulling teeth to get someone out to look at it When they finally sent their biased "technician" out to assess the unit he looked inside, took out the screen, looked down the hole, spun the sprayers and said everything looked fine. He ran it for a few minutes and said it is working like it "is supposed to" and that I should run it on the sanitary cycle with rinse aid. I said I would try that but reasoned that it should not ONLY work on the sanitary cycle. It is as if he was very well aware of the problems and has responded in this way MANY times before because he also told me that these new models do not work like the old ones attempting to justify the fact that I will be stuck with a new model that doesn't work. I told him we just moved to this house and the previous one we were in needed a new dishwasher less than a year ago and the landlord replaced it with the cheapest model possible and it worked on just a quick cycle just fine. He seemed trained to tell customers how the models are designed in a way that doesn't work. Then he lied in his report saying, "The customer refuses to use rinse aid." Even if that were true it would be a ridiculous defence for a model that does not washed prerinsed dishes clean. When I ran it on a light sanitary cycle, or a normal cycle with rinse aid I got shiny dishes back with food baked on like it had gone through a ceramic kiln. Just as expected the rinse aid did not contribute to cleaner dishes. I had told him that the rinse aid would not make a difference in how the unit cleans dishes and that I had not used rinse aid in innumerable dishwashers for over 20-some years and have NEVER seen a dishwasher work so horribly. He could have conveyed the truth instead of lying that I wouldn't use it. Because of his suggestion I bought Rinse Aid anyways and took pictures of my shiny dishes with food baked on.
THE UNIT DOES NOT WORK and
THEY WILL DO NOTHING BUT KEEP MY MONEY LIKE A THIEF.
It is not surprising they have a less than 2 star average rating. I only wish I had looked into that before I purchased one of their models. It has caused us so much distress I will be a continual advocate to as many as I can for people to stay away from their models to help others not to have to go through what I have.
PLEASE, save yourself a lot of time, stress and money and STAY AWAY FROM all MABE appliance brands in their line: GE

Poor customer service and no accountability. Stay away from this company.
It’s clear GE Appliances is untrustworthy, with poor customer service and no accountability. Avoid this company
Purchase washing machine directly through GE because they have a military discount installer who was not trained per his own words took off hoses and drain and let water run down walls all over her floor, causing damage to my drywall.
Washing machine was defective did not drain properly and always had water remaining in machine.
Contacted GE representative directly and they were supposed to have someone pick it up tomorrow but they would give me a call on Friday two days ago
I have had multiple calls to GE and now they’re saying I have to contact their insurance company for the damage.
Emails from their rep do not coincide with what they are saying i.e. delivery company will come pick up appliances.
Fortunately, I placed on my credit card and have filed a dispute. At least I won’t be charged interest for this machine until the problem is resolved.

Incompetent Customer Service and Unresolved Issues
I’ve had a terrible experience with GE Appliances regarding a defective window air conditioner. I reported the issue immediately after receiving it, but despite returning the unit over a month ago, I still haven't received a refund. Customer service has been a nightmare—I've been shuffled between departments, promised callbacks that never happened, and left without any real help. Even after filing a credit card dispute, GE falsely claimed the product was delivered in working condition and that they hadn’t received the return.
It’s clear GE Appliances is untrustworthy, with poor customer service and no accountability. Avoid this company.

Worst garbage and customer service EVER !
3 month old, GE washer. Transmission and door lock broken. I have requested a replacement since the transmission is THE main part of the machine and there is NO WAY that a repair guy can come and replace to the original specs.. No compassion, no logic. worst garbage machine, but most importantly worst after sales EVER.

High End GE Dishwasher Failed 3 Times in 1 year!
High end $1,000+ GE DIshwasher Broke down Failed 3 Times in under 1 year!!! We're a small low maintenance family. Within just a few short months, the main cheap plastic Pump failed (not metal like Whirlpool). Then the top rack never came clean due to a diverter failing, which happened AGAIN just last week! The cheap plastic (fake metal) casing is peeling off the front. The buttons on the top down light up unless and until you press them so you can't see what you're pressing. The silverware NEVER comes clean. And the top rack NEVER dries. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

Stay Away from GE Appliances
If I could give zero I would for both quality of product and customer service. I purchased a complete GE profile kitchen package which included Stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator. The stove I received had no rear left burner cover, had to wait a week for that but what was worse, the stove was separating at the seams on the control panel! What a mess! No quality control obviously. In addition, the finish is coming off the grates. Unbelievable. I contacted GE customer service, pictures taken, repair person confirmed. They would NOT send a new replacement stove. They would only repair this new stove. Luckily my local appliance center exchanged for a new replacement stove which I just received and that one also is coming apart at the seams! I give up. Unbelievable. Poor equipment, Poor customer service. Bad, Bad company. DONOT buy GE is my advice.
