I purchased the GE GTW540ASP4WS washer in August 2023 and must have it repaired on December 23, 2024. The machine will not drain. This is unacceptable! A machine less than 2 years old has to be repaired, and the warranty is only for 1 year. This is a rip-off. Do your research.

Recently had bought a brand new GE…
Recently had bought a brand new GE Gallery Refrigerator, it lasted 4 months. I spent the next 3 months with multiple service appointments and still no working refrigerator. SO if you would like to waste your money, and hope that it is winter when your GE fridge breaks down so that you are lucky enough to store your food in storage totes to have to wait on the appliance tech to try to figure out what is wrong with your refrigerator. good luck. NEVER AGAIN for me!

GE does not stand behind their product
We are still waiting on a repair of a dishwasher that broke at nine months old. First GE said it was not under warranty. After I sent them documentation of purchase and warranty, they sent out a repair tech. The part is still on "backorder". It's been three months now. One week GE said they expedited the part and it would arrive in two days. The following week they said they never expedite parts. We are still waiting with no end in sight. They refuse to replace the machine even though, as of now, it has been broken for 1/4 of its life. They refuse to do anything at all. Terrible company.

Purchased a new dryer, and zero customer satisfaction
GE Case#14829983-Purchased a new dryer, with stack kit and cord totaling $894.62 on 9/30/24. I picked up dryer at Lowes on 10/4/24, took home, installed, and continued to use until it failed 11/10/24. I filed for warranty service, on GE website, on date of failure, which referred me to their warranty repair company, and I scheduled a service appointment on 11/13/24. Service tech arrived in an unmarked vehicle, likely being his personal vehicle. I had to loan him a step ladder, since he evidently his employer didn't furnish one. As he was working on the dryer, in the bathroom, I was working in the kitchen, just outside the bathroom door, as this is a new home. I could hear at least 6 screws hit the floor as he worked on taking the dryer apart. about 30 minutes later he said "the motor was bad", and he's have to get approval to replace, and order the parts, and would return in approximately 10-14 days. After he left, I went in to the bathroom and saw a screw laying on the floor he didn't bother to reinstall, I have no idea where it was left out of. I also noticed damage to the baseboard, minor scuffing of the corner of the wall, and a chip in the finish of the side panel of the dryer. Every appliance I purchased was unboxed at the store and inspected for damage. There was none. I called GE and explained to them I wanted a new dryer to replace this one because they sent unqualified service repair, and I would have zero faith in any repairs they would make, meaning after any warranty expired I would be vulnerable to pay repairs for any poorly made repairs, I was refused, and told they would send the same 3rd party repair company back out, as it seems there's no one actually qualified, nor GM certified to make repairs on their appliances. She (Tina) claimed she tried to get one of their actual service techs to look at the dryer, but "there were none in my area", so evidently that subjects me to what ever subpar service they force upon me. I want a new dryer, I was refused. They're looking for some other 3rd party service company to send here since they can't bother to send an actual factory trained tech. NEVER buy a GE appliance. This is another time I checked a big box store review instead of coming here.
Update 11/16/24- It now seems as GE is sending another 3rd party service company, through Sears. Why? I checked reviews on this 2nd repair company, and 339 reviews give them a 1.06/5 rating. Seems to me GE isn't concerned about quality service, they just want anyone to show up to your door. This appointment is set for the 19th (8-5) so I get to waste a day hoping they arrive. I'll reiterate what has been repeated in this entire review section of GE appliances, DON'T buy them.
UPDATE-11/26- repairman left today, leaving me with an inoperable dryer, now it needs a wiring harness (after replacing the motor). GE refuses to replace the entire dryer. Now I have a 2 week wait to see if it's going to run (for who knows how long), or need more parts. Crickets from GE.

Avoid GE Appliances
AVOID GE APPLIANCES if you want durability, longevity & a dependable company who maintains a stock of replacement parts. The GE Profile Advantium® 120V - 27 in. Wall Oven, Model no. PSB1000NBB01 “lived” in our home from 2012 to Oct. 2024 - a very pricey mistake, on our part. Purchased in 2012, the microwave, speed cooker, oven, plus worked fine until a power transformer failed Nov. 2024. Per a call to GE today, I was informed “the unit is no longer made; the part is unavailable.” The GE rep rationalized that the unit lasted for over 10 years!

GE has Terrible Microwaves
I have had two GE Cafe microwaves. Total garbage. They kept breaking down and always the same problem. The door switch is defective so it does not heat things and the turntable does not turn. GE just gives me the runaround. They either tell me that they cannot help me or send me back to the store where I bought the item. Once they sent a service guy who never looked at the unit and then said he would be back in 3 weeks with some parts.

I'll Never Buy GE Again
We paid nearly $3,400.00 for a GE Profile refrigerator on May 6, 2024 from Bishop's Appliance in Columbus, IN. Then on October 28, 2024 (about 5 mo,) it began making noise that sounded like the compressor might be going bad, and it warmed up to the point that everything in the freezer was thawing! After a couple of hours of trying to contact Bishop's Appliance (by calls and going to the store) we learned that they had closed the store and were now in business only in Shelbyville, IN. Finally, after calling that store, a service tech came to our house at the end of the day and checked the refrigerator. By that time all of our food had been taken to a kind neighbor's home and was (still is) in their refrigerator/freezer, but our refrigerator had miraculously revived itself and was getting cold again. The technician checked it out and said that it has an intermittent problem. His diagnosis was that our refrigerator has a "sealed system issue." He said that he would recommend that Bishop's have a GE representative check it out and that we go from there. I called Bishop's in Shelbyville the next day, and I was told to call the "GE helpline" and was given a phone number. I said to him, "Are you telling me that I have to start all over from scratch with GE even though your guy just checked it and determined it to have an intermittent problem and that it is only five months old?" And he said, "Yes." I told him that HE should replace it with another refrigerator and that HE should then get it repaired and resell it so we would have a more dependable refrigerator and so we could get our food from the neighbor's refrigerator. He said that he could not do that and that I would have to work with GE. When I called GE I was told that one of "their" technicians will have to determine what is wrong with it and that I would be notified when my appointment would be. Today I received a text message telling me that my "Sears appliance representative" will come to our home on 11/12/24 (TWELVE DAYS FROM NOW!) to determine the cause of our problem. I understand that "things can happen," but in this case I would have expected to have MUCH quicker and better service. After all, I could have saved about $700.00 by buying from Lowes or Best Buy, but I chose to support local business instead. Needless to say, this is the last time for me to be concerned about buying locally, and I will never again buy a GE appliance. Nor will I ever consider buying anything from Bishop's Appliance Store again.

Washer/Dryer combo died after only a…
Washer/Dryer combo died after only a month. 6+ months later of 2 different repair companies, they finally sent a new unit. 'New' unit was damaged and the trucking company refused to put it back on the truck and said I had to call GE appliances. So I'm back to square 1 fighting with this useless company to get a 'new' piece of garbage. Stay far away from this company.
