I had to rebuild after super storm sandy. I got all ge appliances. I moved back in my home in 2018. So far I had to get a new microwave, I've had issues with my washer and now my dishwasher died. All in just 7 years. I will NEVER buy another ge appliances again. And I will tell everyone I know not too either. Horrible

Purchased a complete kitchen package in…
Purchased a complete kitchen package in October 2024.
My biggest disappointment is the over the range microwave.
The control panel is already scratched up. I used microfiber cloths and a gentle cleaner (Mrs. Meyers) to clean and it did not help in preventing any scratches.
GE says that it’s “normal wear and tear” really? It’s six months old and I live alone. No abuse and I invested a lot of money in this so I’m not going to abuse it. Highly disappointed.

NEVER purchase a GE major appliance!
NEVER purchase a GE major appliance!
In September 2024, I bought a GE Profile 5.3 cu ft washing machine with an extended warranty, a purchase totaling $1,399.18, and I quickly discovered that the machine is awful. The machine is disruptive with very loud repetitive banging for about 15 minutes, that GE attributes to its water efficiency design. And I can't wash a bath towel and a hand towel because the machine can't detect this as a small load and won't spin the towels dry. My choices are to hold my dirty towels until I build up a few of them before I can run a load, or I have to literally hand wring out the water from the towels before I can put them in the dryer. In my 70 years of living, I've NEVER had to do either of those things with any previous washers, and no one I know has to do that with their current non-GE washers. Everyone I've told about it is in utter disbelief.
I followed the warranty process, only to discover that the issues are not repairable because they're part of GE's poor engineering design. GE has refused to take this disruptive and dysfunctional machine back - it's a disgrace. I'm stuck with a HORRIBLE washing machine and GE literally couldn't care less. They state that the machine is performing according to engineering design, with no recognition that the design is flawed and unacceptable to a customer. From their standpoint, the joke is on me, and it seems they're right because $1,400 later, I can no longer dispute the charge with my credit card due to a 90-day dispute filing deadline.
Do yourself a favor - buy ANY manufacturer's washer other than GE and, if you have to spend a little more money to get it from a reputable, respectable and honorable vendor, do it!!!!!!!

I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. Please save your money and time and do not buy anything from this company. I wish I did more research before purchasing an electric oven from GE. There is a horrible smell everytime we try to run it and it hasn’t gone away for months. I didn’t even try to bake anything in it because I simply do not want to poison myself. Customer service has been useless, they have sent technicians who told us they cannot smell anything. One of them said it may be bec he had covid recently?! Then he reported there is no smell to the case manager. They asked us to run it another 5 times back to back - as if that would change anything - before they can do something about it bec apparently they have a surveillance system that tracks when you use your oven. When a customer is saying they cannot use the product because if a bad smell, why do you need more proof? Never ever buying anything from this company again.

Could the rating be lower? YES!
I am deeply frustrated with GE (a division of Haier) and its repair partner, US Appliance, over a month-long unresolved issue with a broken GE gas stove. The problem began on April 5, 2025, and despite multiple calls and interactions with GE representatives, no progress has been made due to poor communication and the unresponsiveness of GE and US Appliance. I have repeatedly received scripted responses, was told the appliance must be repaired four times before replacement, and have been offered inadequate compensation (e.g., $250 reimbursement or extended warranty). Attempts to escalate the issue or receive timely service failed, and a new service appointment was only scheduled for May 2—25 days after the initial report. I feel wholly unsupported and burdened by the financial and emotional strain of not having a working stove, especially with a sick child and recent holidays.

Even one star is more but we do not…
Even one star is more but we do not have a choice of zero star. The GE appliance ( we have washer and dryer) is the worst, please stay away from it. Our washing machine broke within a month, it took them 2 months to fix it and they gave $50 for inconvenience fee. I have to constantly take my laundry out every week and take a day off from work for someone to show up.
One thing is fixed, its broken again and needed everything to be fixed. The machine is being fixed in our garage, which means we cannot fully use our space and again its been almost 2 months and they cannot fix it and they do not replace the machine. Customer service is also not very helpful.
Please stay away from GE product.....

Misleading Availability, Zero Accountability – Left Without a Stove
I ordered a new GE Profile electric slide-in range from the GE Appliance Store on March 24, 2025, with a delivery date of April 10, 2025. Since there was no communication that the delivery date would change, on April 8, I removed my old stove to prepare for installation. Less than 24 hours before delivery (on April 9), I received an email saying the unit was suddenly out of stock, with no timeline for fulfillment.
Glenda in customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. When asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told, "Supervisors do not have phones." When I escalated to a higher-level contact, I was told, essentially, “We found out yesterday too,” with no real solution since any future delivery date would not be guaranteed. So, less than 24 hours before the delivery, I was left without a stove, no options, and no offer to substitute a similar model, expedite delivery, or even help source an alternative.
This was not just a missed estimated delivery—it was a complete failure in communication, logistics, and customer care. Had I been informed at least 72 hours in advance, I would have left my old stove in place and possibly made other arrangements. Instead, I’m left scrambling without a functioning stove and zero trust in this company.
I’ve canceled my order and will not purchase anything from GE Appliances again. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution you to avoid purchasing directly from GE Appliances unless you are prepared for last-minute cancellations, zero accountability, and a customer service team that treats your urgent issue like a shrug.
