Gaucho Restaurant Glasgow All staff are really polite, friendly and professional. Can't say that about the food though. Very disappointing for a so called steakhouse. Had better steaks in many many restaurants but never as bad as this one. The place needs refurbished and not very clean. Old cutlery. I will never be back! Two steaks, sides, chips, mushrooms, sauces, starters and s/toffee pudding (okay) £260 inc tip. Money for nothing.

Gaucho Richmond. The service felt rushed, the steak wasn't the best. The overall experience wasn't good at all and pricing is off the scale even for a small bottle of beer. Gaucho used to be my go to for a nice evening and a brilliant steak, this has now changed

Travelled to Leeds last night to celebrate a 19th birthday for one child and GCSE results for another. This was on the booking form and confirmed when we were seated. Firstly my husbands steak came out medium well when he asked for medium rare. Mentioned it on the check back so his was taken away to recook. We were told it would take 10 minutes, by the time his was redone we had all finished our food and it still wasn’t cooked correctly. I asked for medium and mine looked far more rare than his on both occasions yet they managed to get the other two steaks correct. Manager came over and said he would apply a discount to the steak. When the bill came my husbands steak only had 50% off and they had automatically applied a tip which was greater than the discount. When a guest is having to eat their meal completely after everyone else has finished then this meal should be free. In addition they brought out a complimentary brownie for the birthday boy but completely ignored the other child who was celebrating her GCSE results. Overall really disappointed, you expect this level of steak house to be able to cook steak as is should be and more en pointe than when you cook it yourself at home.

Steaks mediocre at best. Poor cuts of meat. My guest said the mushrooms were the tastiest thing on the table. Flat iron chicken at Nandos is much beter. Gaucho used to be the steak place. No more Starters were okay but nothing special. Waiting staff pleasant but woefully overworked so service ends up being poor. Booked a table. Was NOT asked for a credit card then told booking cancelled when we got there. Ridiculous. Management were not particularly interested

My partner booked us here for my birthday. Amazing 10 out of 10 service form Matthew, honestly the best guy. Outstanding customer service, was very helpful, checked on us to make sure we was good, and he made the birthday experience special. He’s the sort of guy you just have to tip!!!

I wanted to share my disappointment with my visit to Gaucho Piccadilly on 18th June at 5pm for my 30th birthday. I chose your restaurant for an important milestone, despite having so many other options to celebrate at, and unfortunately it feels like that was a mistake. I made it clear in my booking that it was my birthday, but apart from the hostess seating us, there was no acknowledgment at all. For such a special occasion, that was really disappointing. What made it worse was the service — staff kept trying to take our plates while we were still eating, which felt rushed and rude. It made us feel uncomfortable rather than relaxed. On top of that, the food was underwhelming and nowhere near worth the price. Considering the level of service and quality, the service charge didn’t feel justified. Overall, it was disappointing from start to finish, and for what was meant to be a special celebration, I expected much better.

Father’s Day in Richmond, so where better to go than a Gaucho on the river, right? Wrong. Rocked up to bedlam. It was like the last dinner service on the Titanic. Waiters rushing around like headless chickens, with a front of house totally uninterested in any form of social interaction. First thing he said to me? ‘Your duration is 90 minutes’. No hello, no welcome, no eye contact. Just vibes that yelled, give me your money asap. Then got shown to the table. Asked for a negroni, but told that they could only order water (money again, right guys?!?). A waiter would ‘come over to take care of that’. But they didn’t. 20 minutes later, not a peep, despite me watching four different waiters (and a manager) laying up tables. So in the end we walked out, water-less, negroni-less, and steak-less. My advice would be go to Sophie’s instead.
