Purchased 2 pairs of these shoes in April of 2024. I wore each pair less than 10 times. The brown pair is fine, but the black pair is not. The sole came off of the back, and also at the side. I reached out to Gatsby about this issue, and they would not do anything because it was outside their 60 day warranty period. I’m 41 years old and have bought many shoes in my life. Never have I had a pair fail after less than 10 wears. The fact they wouldn’t do anything is disturbing. I’ll never order from this company again. EDIT: After posting a 1-star review, they did finally send me a replacement pair, so I’ve updated this review. It still shouldn’t have taken a negative review to get them to stand by their product. Nevertheless, we will see if they last any longer.

I like the fact that they responded very quickly to my email regarding my exchange. However, after I sent the shoes back and they emailed me a few days later to let me know that they received the shoes, I haven’t heard or received any confirmation yet as to when my exchange shoes will be shipped. For this reason I am giving this a 3 star rating. As for the shoes, they are great shoes as I own several other pair. But I am not pleased with how they are handling my exchange. I don’t believe I will receive my exchange shoes in time for my upcoming event which will be VERY DISAPPOINTING!

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes. However one pair of shoes were damaged. I contacted Gatsby and got an immediate response. They shipped the shoes in plastic packaging which make it very easy for product to be crushed and damaged. Please use boxes to ship your great shoes to your customers so that you will not have to replace them if they get damaged during shipping. Gatsby loses money for damaged shoes that are delivered to loyal customers this can be prevented if you use better packaging methods. I am not happy, I requested an expedited shipment of replacement shoes since I had an event to attend in a week. Gatsby said no they could not.

One pair of 2 fell apart in 2 weeks. I did not get back to them for a long time (effort on my side to look up the order) - they only offered me 20% off. Their weekly email campaign to reorder was better. They said they followed up through Trustpilot. I only see generic 'add more information' from Trustpilot with no specific information from Gatsby. I do see more weekly emails marketing them and telling me they are great and their weekly discount. But nothing personal. edit after Gatsby response through Trustpilot: I had sent them pictures of the heel separating from the shoe when I had originally reached out to them. I did not mention that I ended up with bruise under my big toenail (blue/black) when I wore the shoe. But they were comfortable.

Update: The Customer Services had finally replied and rectified the issue by sending a replacement. The team dealing with this was amazing, whilst the previous one was not, as per below. Appalling customer service and attitude, hiding behind their own 30 days guarantee, hence, they denied replacing the shoes, which fell apart after a couple of months being worn on and off, displaying poor craftsmanship. I cannot believe the response I received and I fell for this scam company…

Edit Jul 19, 2024 Gatsby reached out and said that even though their return policy states that it needs to be returned in its original packaging, they agreed to provide a full refund or store credit. Based on the interaction, I will give update my star from a 2 to 3 star review. Edited Jul 12, 2024 Gatsby reached out by email asking for additional information even though I had provided the Order Reference in the original review. They needed the order ref#, my full name and phone#. Waiting to see what the outcome is. Will update the review once (if) they contact me. One of the two pairs of shoes was defective, and I would like a refund. Not another pair, just to send the defective pair back and have a refund, and there has been no answer.

The shoes fit and look great. Your shipping really sucks, it is not accurate. Your shipping tracking showed my shoes here at my post office for five days and the post office didn't have them. Your tracking system doesn't work. But the shoes are great.
