Our trip Crown of Central Europe was our 1st Gate 1 trip. Everything about this trip was just wonderful. Our trip TM was just the best. He truly made this trip . We had 24 on this trip and everyone was just a pleasure to be around. Will definitely be booking our next trip soon.

This was my first trip and it exceeded my expectations. From airport pick up to tours everything was on point . Our tour manager Rue was the best took the time to celebrate my birthday and made myself and hubby felt important. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Rue

Gate 1 is the best! From the moment you reserve your trip to your arrival home, you get the very best service, tours, tour managers and modes of transportation. It's also a great way to travel solo. Very reasonable pricing, and travel discount codes throughout the year, allow you to travel the world and see things you might not otherwise get to see. Highly recommend!

The trip was well organized and carefully planned itinerary. Tour manager was very knowledgeable and explained every details of tour sightseeing. Tour manager was very caring person and taking care of everyone needs and very helpful in time of needs. All hotels and related services was very good. It was very safe journey with well experienced and knowledgeable bus driver. He was very kind and hard working during this trip. Booking process was excellent with Gate 1 travel and staff was very friendly during booking process.

I have taken several trips with Gate 1. Some trip were absolutely wonderful, Vietnam, Nepal and Iceland. The others were reasonably good and aligned with the price point overall. There are some fair criticisms. At times, there seems to be a bit of cutting corners, especially regarding restaurants. As a result, the quality is lacking (e.g. spoiled food). When the company needs to cancel a trip a single initial communication should be sent to all affected customers. At times, some affected customers find out much later than others. It’s important for Gate 1 to be open to feedback, especially regarding traveler experiences and discrepancies regarding things such as promotion applicability. There doesn’t seem to be an effective avenue within Gate 1 for that. I had hoped the Gate 1 Facebook group page, not managed by Gate 1, would be a good place to gain and give honest insights about Gate 1 experiences. However, over time, I became increasingly uncomfortable with the culture of the Gate 1 Facebook group. What stood out was not simply that members disagreed with criticism of Gate 1, but the intensity and speed with which negative experiences were often challenged. Posters who raised concerns — including people posting anonymously — could quickly become the focus of the discussion, with efforts to question their judgment, credibility, preparation, or motives rather than simply consider the substance of what they reported. I also noticed instances where criticism appearing on one platform was apparently located on another platform and then brought back into the discussion as part of an effort to challenge the person making the complaint. That kind of cross-platform scrutiny struck me as unusual for an ordinary traveler forum. I cannot know whether any of this is coordinated, nor can I know whether particular members have financial, referral, travel-advisor, group-leader, promotional, or other relationships connected to Gate 1. But the combination of highly defensive responses, repeated efforts to discredit critics, frequent promotion of Gate 1-related products or discounts, and apparent cross-platform monitoring created the impression of a community that was less neutral and more protective of the company than I expected from an independent traveler discussion group. My concern is not that positive experiences should not be shared. It is that negative experiences should be able to be discussed without the poster becoming the target. When the response to criticism repeatedly shifts from “What happened?” to “Why shouldn’t we believe this person?”, it can discourage candid discussion and make it harder for members to assess travel risks and experiences for themselves.

We had a great experience with Gate One good restaurants and hotels, the Guide very knowledgeable and with a lot of experience and the attention he had with us was very appreciated ,drivers were very good and attentive, in general was very good trip and the price seems reasonable to me, we are very pleased.

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Morocco, my third one with Gate 1. Yassine, the tour director was friendly, very professional and well informed. Hicham, our driver and his assistant Mohamed were excellent. One of the best dinners we enjoyed took place at a private house, Aisha, our hostess, served a truly Moroccan meal not only delicious but generous and beautifully presented. The hotels were excellent (with the exception of the Radisson, where we had to wait for almost one hour to get our rooms, thus shortening the little time we had to enjoy the city and do a little shopping) All the optional tours were especially good, the sunset at the Sahara desert was an unforgettable experience. Too bad the farewell dinner was held in a non-moroccan restaurant, El Gusto, where food was mediocre. Otherwise, I give five stars to Gate 1, the best way to travel.
