I have done 20 trips with Gate 1 Travel and have never had a bad experience. The company offers good value for the money and most trips are set up for people who want to actively see and experience the sights and culture of the countries they are visiting. It seems some of the bad reviews are coming from people wanting Gate 1 to violate the terms of the travel agreement. Gate 1 offers CFAR (cancel for any reason) & medical insurance so purchase it if you think there may be any issues. All of my trips have run smoothly and I have never had to work with customer service on anything.

As always , the trip is organized well . The tour Director makes it or breaks it , we were so lucky to have Belinda, she is Par excellence , so fun and detailed , makes the day to day easier to navigate. Next trip will be in Gate 1 again for sure .

What makes Gate 1 tours stand out of other to our companies for me are maybe small things but they’re very important to me while traveling: they carefully pick out the hotels that are normally in or close to historic center with main attractions reachable on foot; they only hire best tour guides, their tour managers become part of the family; their buses are always comfortable and clean; they always make sure hotels we stay in provide us with drinking water in rooms and good balanced breakfast. Another priceless feature I find very interesting for me. Is I would call it a local culture fusion through visiting local peoples houses restaurants and farms. Overall, I like the quality of the tours Gate 1 offers.

I always love how Gate 1 makes everything so convenient and easy to navigate. From the initial reservations, whether online or a live representative to the printed itinerary that is sent prior to traveling. I love that you don't have to question what to do when you arrive at your destination with a Gate 1 Rep waiting for you to guide you, even when you arrive earlier than the tour. The guides have always been great! I highly recommend Gate 1!

Great staff and crew! Just a wonderful, relaxing time on the ship. The food was delicious and plentiful. This was my first river cruise and hopefully, won't be my last.
