Love everything besides the panel being a bit slow and the RCON sometimes going blank, everyting else is PERFECT, 24/7 support, very friendly developers willing to help as much as they can, all in all, i'd suggest this hosting to anyone looking to own a server.

Switched to a Dedicated Server with GSK
I was running 6 Rust servers through another game server host who, like most, put my servers on shared boxes with an untold number of other servers and we all fight for resources. My servers were cash positive from player contributions so I knew it was time to make a change as complaints of lag echoed every wipe day.
I went out looking for answers. My main concern was with the quality of the server equipment and other concerns being the ability to configure everything how I wanted and hosting somewhere that owned their own equipment. GSK was the answer.
I was in touch with Rene who told me about their offerings but they were also willing to completely build it to my specs as I was thinking of a Threadripper. I settled on an Intel Core i9-9900k and the price was very competitive, particularly given the value of working with a company that has a background in game servers. Reaching out to other companies during my 3 or so months of research yielded that many would help me set it up with linux or something but I would ultimately have to do all the game installation. GSK was willing to take care of everything and, if I decided, also allow me to use their TCAdmin on my servers which is the interface I was most familiar with.
They were an absolute pleasure to work with during the entire process even going as far as sending me a picture of the equipment as it was being built and racked. After everything was turned on they continued (and still do) checking in very often to make sure everything is okay and that I am happy.
This is going to sound unbelievable but I could not believe how great my experience has been for our players. We went from having cries of LAAGGGGGGGG all wipe to literally having players playing and complimenting the experience. One guy even said it was the smoothest Rust server he had ever played on. My biggest server of the 6 hits 200 on wipe day so this is real server, not one for me and my buddies. The fact that there are no complaints as to the server performance anymore means a TON to me. I am finally providing the value to my players that they expect and that those who support our servers deserve. Since launching we have already added more supporters than we averaged in recent months so this investment is going to pay off quickly and we can continue to expand!
Since GSK owns their equipment I am able to move and upgrade my servers anytime in the future and retain my original IP addresses. I really wish I could speak as to the quality of their smaller game server products but I unfortunately did not start with them. I wish I had though, the biggest headache was hoping players would find the new server. This could have been prevented had I just gone with GSK to begin with when starting the servers long ago and then switched to a Dedicated with them.
Based on my experience so far, I can absolutely and confidently recommend Game Server Kings for Dedicated servers. I can also attest that their Network so far has been solid and we have withstood many (so far only smaller) ddos attacks and I am confident when/if larger ones come we will have no issues there as well.
Here is my advice to people looking to start their first server from someone who currently runs successful servers. It is okay to start small. As your player base grows you need to continue to invest in the server. I waited too long and prohibited growth for many months. If you are having issues and lag you need to upgrade. It may be nice running a server for under $15 a month but you cannot stay there and expect continued growth. You can and should start small for your first server but do not wait as long as I did to eventually make upgrades to gain more space on your shared box and, when the time comes, that big jump to a dedicated when your funds allow and player base demands it. I started my server just wanting to give players a different experience. With my GSKs Dedicated Server our players finally have the experience they deserve.

Game Server Kings (GSK) Hosting Review
Our small game development company has been testing GSK's hosting services for a little over six months now. Here are some of our findings:
1. We utilized different server sizes, feature configurations and numbers of servers deployed for our testing purposes.
2. We tested server processing (calculation) performance levels, sustained server/network operations, alert signalling, support staff response and issue resolution timing.
Testing Notes:
1. While the customer support staff we interacted with all seemed very dedicated and willing to assist, their efforts were regularly stymied by the performance of the actual hosting service itself and delays in communications.
2. We observed high network latency at times (>36.8 ms average over several hours), but generally experienced good connectivity.
3. The provided Game Management Console (GSK TCAdmin) is significantly simplified in the shared-server implementation. This is beneficial to new owners/admins/mods but somewhat limiting for experienced administrators, developers and technicians.
Summary Results:
The results of our six month trial period seem to indicate that GSK is an excellent platform for beginner and hobbyists level customers who have some previous experience in game server hosting.
However, for those starting a professional or subscription-based service, GSK may actually make an already difficult task of building a loyal commercial audience and following extremely laborious.
Engaging with your membership to explain or compensate them for extensive downtime hours (>80hrs in Q1 2020) is unlikely to be conducive to your overall success. It may even result in much higher support costs due to increased incident communication requirements between your staff and your membership.
Additionally, these ongoing service issues (consisting largely of server/network hardware failures and unannounced maintenance or upgrades requiring restart) further complicate attaining success with online game performance reporting agencies (BattleMetrics, etc...), hosted game review sites (e.g.: hosting.review) and other resources important for building and maintaining an audience.

Not the best, but good support
I bought a Rust server through GSK as a temporary measure as I needed a server within a few days. Two days in, I still hadn't been able to set up my server because a number of issues:
- The game panel is extremely slow and poorly designed
- The FTP access would copy *literally* half of my file or plugin
- After the FTP issue was fixed, I could no longer connect to my server
I spent most of those 2 days waiting on support to respond (which is fine if I wasn't on a deadline).
I found another hosting company that had a 24/hour free trial and set up the server with all the same plugins, configuration, + database, in an hour. No problems.
The only reason I'm not rating this lower is because they do have good and relatively responsive customer support. They gave me a full refund upon request. However, good customer support doesn't mean much if the servers or the panel and it's alternatives are non-functional
Response from GameserverkingsApr 30, 2020
Hi there,
Firstly I'd like to apologize for the rough start that you seem to have had with GSK. This is definitely not the typical start to a server with us and is not the service that we strive to offer our clients.
As of this reply, we have immediately began investigating our FTP system. Many users on our service manage their files with a FTP client without this issue, so it is definitely an edge case that is not typical. We will do our best to find and resolve any issues with this system as quickly as possible.
I'm happy to hear that you thought highly of our customer support team. We believe very strongly that it is a crucial part of our business and we will continue to further strengthen that area of our service as well.
Your feedback is not taken lightly, and we are looking into ways to improve the overall experience of Gameserverkings based on the feedback provided here.
Regards,
Dristen

Perfect Hosting
At first, I didn't really know how to use the control panel. Gradually as my Rust server was going well I learned all of it pretty fast. The live support is amazing and has helped me so much, all around the service has just been an amazing experience.
Thanks,

Cheaper sometimes does mean better...
Bought a server from this company after my previous game server's interface was poorly managed and lagged too much plus the server itself suffered from lag spikes etc. So far since they installed my server instantly like the webpage promised they would and have been near faultless. They replied to all of my concerns via email and they're own online chat within an acceptable timeframe and thus far the performance of they're interface is outstanding, much faster and responsive than my previous host. The only minus is that the paypal interface kept crashing on checkout but that might not have been they're end but on paypals so can't really complain too much. They even recognised peoples financial issues may be challenged during the covid 19 crisis and offered a lifetime 15% discount without asking. Highly recommended.
