Gadget Circuit - Read before buying a camera
This is a log of my first experience with Gadget Circuit so I'm not sure if its an anomaly or just the way they do business: 7/20 ordered Lumix GX7 camera body for $399. Gadget Circuit charges my credit card. 7/23 contacted Customer service to get status on order. Customer service responded promptly and told me my order was approved and scheduled to ship. 7/23 noticed that the Gadget Circuit website changed price from $399 to $504 with a status of "Available". 7/28 hadn't gotten shipping notice so I contacted Customer service. They informed me that there was a delay in the item and that they would upgrade me to overnight shipping when it arrived. Later that day I received another e-mail from the Customer response team notifying me that my order had been officially upgraded to overnight shipping. 7/30 Noticed that my card had been refunded so I contacted customer service to see what the status of my order was. No response. Website still says camera was "Available". 8/4 Still hadn't heard from Gadget Circuit and they weren't responding back to e-mail. The website still is selling the camera but its been now priced at $528 and still has a status of "Available". 8/5 Called up customer service and they notified me that they cancelled my order. Summary: I'll never know the reason why this camera transaction failed but it appears that this company would rather risk a small hit to its reputation rather than sell a camera at a lower profit or loss.
