I recently tried the Premium feature on Funimation's steaming service. There are multitudes of problems with the video player. My quality settings reset after every episode, my language settings reset if I go to a different series, or if I reload the page I'm on. Reloading is needed fairly often, as the player seems to have problems registering when it is paused or not, causing the play button to malfunction. The quality of their server side streaming is also terrible. My internet is currently at ~120Mbps per Ookla speed tests, and I'm having to buffer a 1080p video every three minutes or less. I don't understand how a 6$ a month service can function more poorly than illegal streaming services, let alone other top streaming sites like Crunchyroll or Youtube. All in all, Funimation is far away from being a "Premium" service in any sense of the word. *Edit- Just had to add that the "Next episode" button seems to only work about 25% of the time.

If there is anything lower than 1 star they deserve that. They have poor policy to back shipping damaged items. Just cant pack or pick a brand new item. I was give a damaged item and packing was a joke. Everything came damaged and you have to send your item back for a refund. They messed up and you have to clear their mess. How awesome is that ?

Yuh so, You dont have good anime. Not a single show i watch Beastars, jojo's bizarre adventure and BNA, Brand new animal. If you had those and a better interface, id consider paying for this. But was a mistake and a total waste of money. Buggy, slow, hard to navigate menus and just too overhyped.

This year I attended the free con by funimation and ordered the ryuk figure and 2 shirts. Customer service was wonderful and prompt. The items were quality made and arrived quickly. The ryuk figure was well worth more than I paid it is very detailed and very large. Over 15" tall with large wings. I am grateful they had this one of a kind merchandise available. As a collector of anime and with the pandemic it is awesome to get authentic products. My daughter and I keep him on our top shelf to display as a reminder of the kindness funimation showed its fans.

This app is complete and utter garbage. I will no longer be paying any money for this broken barely functional piece of trash. It only works for around 2 or three episodes before crashing and having to re open it around 6 or 7 times to get it to work. Don't even think about trying to fast forward, cause it causes the app to freeze. Want to skip to the next episode? App freezes. Enjoying the last 2 episodes you watched? App freezes. Don't pay any money for this crap. It just isn't worth it. The only reason I've kept it this long was to get through the dragon ball shows. I made it through Dragonball super and GT, but I'm done. I don't want to deal with it anymore. It would be money better spent getting the damn Blu rays

Was overcharged two months, charged 3 times the first month and twice the second. The account never said it was paid prescription status only free. Couldn’t get hold of support to refund any of the payments

The selection of anime is great, but the menu lags and when it has to buffer (which is frequently) it skips ahead a few seconds. It makes watching anime jarring. You back it up to that spot only to have to rewind again because it skipped ahead again. It’s an endless cycle. Funimation is one of the most popular names in anime. They can afford to fix this. My brother is paying for our subscription since my wife has him on our Netflix. What is he paying for? Get it together Funimation. Keep in mind that the most common internet speed in the US is 15mbps or less. I’m maxed out at 10 for my area and thats the fastest and most reliable that i’ve been able to find.

Their interface is garbage where after watching a few ads the program won’t load. If you back out and in it just launches more ads. In one 22 minute show I’ve had to watch over 10 minutes of ads. There’s just not much good to balance it out.
