I didn't get my results until you asked me to refer a friend and I told you I didn't have the results back yet. I got a lot of data but not a clear undertanding on how to make sense of it. Also, I fasted for 36 hours before the test, I didn't realize that would skewar the results. As a type 1 diabetic, my results were different than most people's but it didn't feel like that was taken into account in my overall age score. Honestly I feel like I wasted a bunch of money.

Overall solid tool and it’s helped identify focus areas for me as I tack my health carefully. Not sure if I will renew. Three reason for 2 stars: 1) you pretty much never talk to a person; it’s all AI driven. Would be nice to speak with someone live 2) huge upsell - lots of additional tests that get presented to you in money grab fashion. Expect to pay more than the base fee for additional tests that seem tempting 3) Ezra who they partner with for CT scans / MRI is an absolute disaster. They totally screwed up two CT / CAC scans so far (ie could not get accurate reading; scheduling mistake on their side). Their customer service is abhorrent. Never use them for anything.

The problem is you spend all this money on lab tests, but then they have no doctors available to help you with the results. They give minimal feedback/ recommendations and then you're stuck with problem but with no real solution. They need to have better follow up with actual doctors who can help you embark on the healing process.

I felt disappointed by my overall experience with Function. First, by the time I had already paid the money for lab work, Function informed me that they only take blood samples at specific labs in certain cities. The closest lab to me was a 3 1/2 hour drive away. Not knowing this information prior to purchasing OR having any flexibility on the clan companies with whom Function would work was frustrating and disappointing. Additionally, the communication interface with Function seemed unnecessarily complicated. I was receiving emails, text messages, and messages on my portal. When I did have a question, I just wanted to talk with a person. That proved challenging. I had to go through rounds of back and forth with a AI chat bot Finally, some of the automated communication I received from the company was unclear. The responses were general and vague. Overall, the experience seemed to be more of a hassle than I had anticipated. It seemed like maybe I should have just gone through my primary care doctor for labs. I will say, my experience was not all negative. What I DID like about working with Function was that the report I received about the specifics of my bloodwork was clear and informative. too slow to provide numerical results. Took 2 weeks. I usually see my lab result numbers within 24-48 hours

I had my blood drawn at the quest lab on Thursday. On Saturday evening some results came in that were very alarming. I called my Dr the following morning and she told me I needed to go into the ER immediately. Turns out the blood draw was wrong and now I get to pay for a visit to the ER because everything else was closed and I couldn’t reach anyone at function health to help. They didn’t even alert me that my results warranted a visit to the hospital. I did this test because I’m anxious about my health and this had me spiraling.

Loved it the first year. This is my second year and I'm really disappointed in the shift to Al medical summaries. Makes sense why they could lower the price, but honestly I'd rather pay for a real person. I'm not sure why it takes so long when they're using Al now. I don't need Al insights, I need quantitative results and human qualitative insights.

Follow-up tests are mixed in with old results so they're hard to find and identify. There's no way to sort tests by most recent. There's also nothing to show what test results are pending.
