Overall I really enjoy using function health. It would be even greater the prices would come down a little bit that way more people can participate in being their own advocate in their care. Faster turnaround in lab results would be even more beneficial because as humans we have that natural now mentality.

Expensive for what you receive and anything that is truly life changing is an add-on.

the way the results are reported are not liked by my doctor - she prefers the way Quest does it. they are too busy to move through the way you present the information.

I like the access to different tests. I don't like not being able to link results to my Quest account so that I can see results trends in a more user friendly interface. They also used to have a doctor write up the results overview but now they use an AI bot and it's not the same.

Function has it's pros and cons. Initially I had issues with scheduling my labs since I'm based in AZ and apparently I needed 2 Lab visits which I was unaware of while waiting on my results. Customer service is a bit tricky and it's difficult to get a hold of someone for help. Pretty comprehensive tests and results you can use to map out better health.

I am disappointed that I had to reach out multiple times to find out that I needed to go get my labs tested twice because the order was split into two. This was not shared with me until multiple check ins about why I had not received all of my lab results. It not only feels deceptive but also my schedule is a lot less flexible now because I have returned to school. I could have taken care of it in two sessions much easier had I known before. I also wonder had I not inquired, would I have even received the tests. The only option for scheduling in my app is the 3-6 month follow up lab session.

The app is nice, booking lab visits is easy, viewing results and clinician reports is good. But what do I do with this information? I like that the app offers foods and supplements to use and those to avoid, but the disclaimer is that they are not medical doctors and do not offer medical advice… you need to refer to your doctor for more help! The reason I use Function is because I don’t get complete and or comprehensive help from a general practitioner, nor do I trust their help. So why on earth would I go to them for further advice? For me, this is where Function falls through. I now must book a visit with a functional medicine doctor to go through the results. I am also learning that there are tests that aren’t quite complete, ie- T3 and T4 are run but not the reverse T3. While I like having these lab results, I would really like to see an option for more in depth guidance (for an added fee?) from practitioners through Function. I could buy supplements all day but if I do not address the higher priority items first, I will never get better health. I don’t want to address the symptoms or throw darts at a board, I want to address the big picture and this is the reason I chose Function Health, but do not feel like that is what I am getting.
