I really like the lab tests offered by Function Health and the explanations of doing these lab tests and they seem to be accurate. And also, the lab costs seem reasonable, but not cheap. Also, you can order optional lab tests not included in the regular yearly membership fee, but it can eventually become costly, depending what you order. The one complaint I had was that it was not clear that when I was trying to schedule an appointment for my first blood draw why I needed to schedule another appointment for another blood draw in about 10 days after the first blood draw. I knew the membership included 2 sets of blood work in 12 months, but I thought it was kind of odd to do the second set of blood work so soon. So, when I got my first blood work drawn, I asked the technician about it and she told me that she'll need about 20 tubes of blood for all that testing and they don't like to draw that much blood at one time, so that's why it's divided into 2 appointments. So, I assume when I do my second set of blood work in about 3-4 months I'll have to be stuck twice again. Also, on collecting urine , that was not too clear either. Was the lab supposed to collect the urine both times or just one time. The lab collected the urine on my second visit only. As a patient you like to make certain you have enough urine in your bladder.Function Health should have warned people up front about this, since some people have to drive further to get to the lab and some people don't like being stuck with a needle too frequently like me. Otherwise, it was a good experience so far, and then I trust Quest Labs.
