I like the wide range of panel testing. However, each resulting Cinician Notes have become shorter and less informative than the previous… like a physician too overwhelmed with readings and just trying to get through the stack.

After receiving more than 120 biomarker results, I found the platform well organized and the results easy to understand. One elevated biomarker appeared to trigger additional testing, which I appreciated. However, the interpretation did not seem to account for the medications and supplements I had listed during the intake process and entered into the Function app. Some of these could have influenced or falsely elevated certain biomarkers. I would have appreciated guidance on whether I should continue taking particular supplements or, at minimum, an acknowledgment that certain medications or supplements may have affected my results. I also assumed a healthcare professional would personally review the results with me rather than my receiving what appeared to be an AI-generated interpretation. Function’s website states that a real person reviews the results, but I later realized it does not necessarily say that person will discuss them directly with the member. That misunderstanding was partly mine, but a brief conversation with a clinician—especially when medications or supplements may affect the findings—would make the service much more valuable.

First off this is very trendy right now among many people that appreciate AI abilities.. What I like- quick information that looks reliable Easy access to a portal that you can upload other med documents. Ask questions regarding results through AI . What I didn't like or feel is ideal for most people.. 1 The initial intake form was too long and very comprehensive, took days to complete. 2. Only online, limited human contact for questions. 3. The actual blood tests were over done..many of the tests are unnecessary, according to my Dr. 4. Drink plenty of water prior to the test- the amount of vials taken were over 10.. so ,if you are anemic going in you will feel lightheaded from so much blood withdrawn. ( my suggestion? split them up in 2 sessions. Do 1 on one day and return for the rest) 5. Very impersonal.. the average person that has no medical or health training could leave you to feel overwhelmed with too much information. Even a trained health coach such as myself. 6. They upsell one for getting baseline MRI , very expensive and possibly not necessarily needed. 7. If you are hypochondriac , or tend to worry.. this process could be frightening. 8. I believe in professionals working directly with patients . There is more to health than testing. Human interaction is vital for ideal health care. 9. Overall not the Best way to really take 100% care of ones health. 10. Find a qualified health professional you like, trust and learn from .

Generally works well and gives useful insights and clinician summary. This past lab test had 2 issues. The first issue was my lab order was not immediately sent to the lab. I had a last minute opening in my schedule so ai went to the lab a few days before my scheduled appointment to do a walk in. Image my surprise and disappointment when the lab told me they didn’t have my order even though I ordered the test a few days earlier. Then to make it even worse it took several hours of back and forth email to get Function to send the lab order even with very, very clear instructions in my first customer service chat. Second issue is my clinician notes references old information I entered months ago and did not use more recent information I entered prior to the test and from my Apple Watch. (Body Weight). You need to make sure you are using most current info to draw conclusions in notes!

The tests are comprehensive; however, the results seem processed by AI rather than a human doctor. The recommendations included a list of foods to eat and avoid and recommended supplements as well as advice for discussing results with your primary doctor.

Like the comprehensive testing and overall value even though as a beta user I paid a much higher price. My biggest complaint is the # of Qs you have to go through to register for testing. This is even worse for the follow-up testing and then with all the Qs if you don't answer in one sitting, it doesn't save and you have to do it all over again. Super annoying. I question the biological age calculation though as someone in extremely good health and another in very poor condition both showed an equally lower than actual age which seemed odd.

My first blood draw amounted to 14 viles. This is way to much for my body to handle. Almost passed out. After the draw I traded several emails with customer support and asked to get two seperate lab orders so I can go on different days. The best customer support would promise is that they can only do 1 lab order and if I feel like fainting that I can just stop the blood draw and come back another day. I prefer to have the 2 lab orders and not have to cut short the one blood draw if need be.

The process was really easy and the results were very informative the only bad thing is now o need to make more appointments to take care of the bad results I would think getting blood test by your doctor they would take the trims and tell you what to do
