I bought function after hearing it plugged on the Huberman podcast I listen to, who promoted labs such as heavy metals and cancer biomarkers. Unfortunately, all of these labs are extra and if you want all of them that will cost you about an extra 3k in testing. The labs provided are all labs that are free with preventative labs with any health insurance plan. I tried to cancel after not completing any labs but was still charged a $133 enrollment fee, biggest load of bs I ever heard of. This product is in no way worth the money get individual ala carte labs from the testing companies they use for a 1/4 of the price if you want them. And as per their response yes they responded to me but still can't explain why it cost them $133 to add you to their system which should be completely automated and not cost them anything. They say it is for access to their platform but I never used the platform so again they are just using well known podcasters to toute their product and then swindling you out of $133 when you realize that nothing that is touted is actually included.

My husband and I bought the health tests last year. We always cancel anything that auto renews so that we don’t have it auto renew the next year. We were on vacation when a single email from function was sent to us stating they would auto renew and charge us each $365. We didn’t see the email. When I saw it on my credit card statement a few weeks later I contacted function for a refund and obviously had not done any labs. They refunded $241 out of the $365!!!! Thieves!!! I am doing chargebacks on the transactions but am furious that they are trying to steal money for services they never gave!!! Edit: after the issue was escalated I finally received a full credit for the unused renewal. But I only used one set of labs last year and paid $499 and they only refunded me $36 out of $499 after I used only half of the service.

I received a supposed appointment confirmation number at Quest Lab, and when I arrived, my booking number didn’t exist. Immediately they knew I was coming from function health and they said it was always the same problem with them. I tried to call, but nobody answer. I had to text with someone and they couldn’t help me, I just lost all morning trying to get my lab tests and I couldn’t.

I joined in Dec 2025, and did my tests in January 2026. 5 weeks after the test I still did not have my full results, so I contacted the company and they did some investigating only to find out the lab had issues with my samples from my second test. The company offered me to redo my second test. However per their instructions, it is highly recommended to do the second test within 10 days of the first test. Because of this I requested a full retest of both my first and second tests, to which function denied. I’m extremely disappointed and trying to speak with higher ups on the matter. I’m not sure why I, the customer, need to receive less than stellar service, when I did absolutely nothing wrong. The issue was with the lab, not me. I’m very disappointed in the customer service making me go through hoops to get the basic services I paid for. I will be looking into other service providers should this situation not resolve to my satisfaction, and will be warning all people in my community of this.

You do not perform the tests you pay for. When we call your company to say that some of the tests were missing the automatic AI is a nightmare. And when asking something by email, your response is terrible. We will never do business with you again..

Never got all my results in and can't get anybody to contact me. Paid good money for this test and was not satisfied at all.

I’ll be canceling my membership as your partner lab is a terrible experience overall. There’s never available times that would make sense for someone fasting and the overall ‘insight’ is just not worth $500
