The company is selling tests that are not customized or personalized in the name of "personalized medicine" and indirectly patients are misled to think they may not need a personal physician who can help them, review their unique history from birth to present, then order the appropriate tests and review those tests creating a personalized plan. Unfortunately they are undermining what functional medicine was supposed to be for profit and turned it into a business factory, that is not precise, not personal, and not in connection with an expert functional medicine physician who knows the patient, orders what they need and works with them to optimize their health, prevent and reverse disease. Patients are confused and misled thinking by getting this cookie cutter set of labs and paying $500 they are going to get answers about their health, and often are lost, most doctors do not accept this businesses labs. Physicians want to see their patients, know them, order what is needed and work with them to optimize their health. Not this cookie cutter business that is not personalized and taking advantage of patients and physicians in a misleading way. Further there are functional medicine physicians who have their patients get these tests and more based on symptoms and need through their insurance. Lastly many tests are missing the ones that are little more costly they just choose to skip those as part of their "panel".

Incomplete tests and no support I had a great experience with Function Health in my first visit. In my 6-month recheck, they offer significantly fewer included tests, I upgraded my 6 month check-in to a full like-for-like retest. They ended up only sending the partial 6 month tests to the testing facility, when I reached out to support to try to fix the issue (after three days of diet prep and fasting for 12 hrs, so as not to have to redo that) the only support offered is an AI chatbot which told me to stay at the facility while they sorted it out and escalated to a manager. Good thing I didn't listen too closely - a full week later they still haven't gotten back to me to resolve the issue or offer a refund. The clinician notes are great, but it's pretty unreasonable to only offer AI-based support.

I signed up for both my wife and me, and we have both had the initial tests done. Now, when I wanted to have my wife take her mid-year test, I realized I couldn't include tests that were out of range (unless they were randomly included in the 60 tests you retest). Meaning if I want to do that, I have to spend $260 more to get those tests done (I see no way I can substitute those tests for tests I really don't need again). The point of the testing is to see what needs fixing, make changes, and then see if you have made progress, but you don't allow those areas to be tested without additional costs. Once my mid-year tests are done, I won't do it again. It sounded like a good idea at the time.

I wanted to be excited about Function Health, but my experience has been the exact opposite. I paid for a membership & never received the onboarding email needed to activate my account. Every attempt to resolve the issue has led me into the same broken onboarding loop, making it impossible to access the service I purchased. The most disappointing part has been customer support. After multiple attempts to get help, I’ve received little more than repetitive responses with no meaningful resolution. Nearly a year later, I’m still trying to either gain access to the service or receive a refund. I also previously posted a one-star review that is no longer visible. Regardless of the reason, the underlying issue remains unresolved. Until Function Health demonstrates unresponsive customer service and stands behind its members when problems arise, I can't recommend the service based on my experience.

This is my first time having used Function Health, and it was a very poor experience. Six weeks after my second round of bloodwork was complete, I still did not have clinician's note. When I reached out about this, I was told that I should have already received them and someone would "look into it." No follow up. Several days later, I reached out again. This time, someone did reply and said "not to worry," if there was anything that required immediate attention someone would have already reached out, but I would receive clinician's notes within the next 3-5 days. Five days later, I finally received the clinician's notes, which notated one area that requires immediate follow up with a cardiologist. So why was this not flagged six weeks prior, when they had my lab results? Also, the clinician reference my "history of heart disease" multiple times, which I do not have, which leads me to question the integrity of their analysis altogether. I will surely not be using Function Health again.

Very shortly after I paid the $500 you dropped your prices! I had not had my blood work done e yet. A refund should have been done. Your prices are already very high and your high pressure upselling is ridiculous.
