FreecycleA nonprofit and globally local re-gifting and re-use network, each group is moderated by a local volunteer who keeps things flowing along. It's like a cyber curbside, or a family-friendly and scam-free Craigslist for free stuff, keeping good stuff out of landfills to the tune of 32,000 items a day in over 5,000 local groups. Find your local group on Freecycle.org and let the re-use and de-cluttering begin!

In a selfish world it is so refreshing to see a website where people who have things of worth want to pay it forward and let others benefit from its use. So basic but I think that is why I like it, its a great representation of the purpose. Simply to share the wealth with those who need it.

Always great in my local community with free items and a great way to remove what I no longer need

Amazed at the amount of "good junk" we hold onto and never use. Freecycle the perfect site to pass on the things we don't need anymore. I was looking for a breadmaker and was thrilled to be given one from a fellow member, it was as new had only been used a couple of times, spotlessly clean and came along with a great recipe book. Definately going to clear out my cupboards.

I check this site nearly everyday and if there is something i like i send the user a message but the thing that gets me is 9 times out of 10 the user(s) dont get back to you and its very frustrating and its quite off putting. But apart from that the site is a good idea and i continue to use the site.

such as this review. I haven't even used this business, but I know better than to trust any website that aggregates review content.

Most of us end up with a surplus of something - and this is a really good way of disposing of something without wasting it - it goes to someone who needs it. The fact that no money ever changes hands is just right too - everyone can share in the giving and the taking.

We used this site to find some great free conference chairs for our non-profit. I highly recommend this site.
