Pretty simple and good
Easy to use and people generally reply very fast.

A nonprofit and globally local re-gifting and re-use network, each group is moderated by a local volunteer who keeps things flowing along. It's like a cyber curbside, or a family-friendly and scam-free Craigslist for free stuff, keeping good stuff out of landfills to the tune of 32,000 items a day in over 5,000 local groups. Find your local group on Freecycle.org and let the re-use and de-cluttering begin!

5 stars for the nice people who have asked politely for an item ( “ I’ll have that” isn’t going to get a look in) People who have helped me when I’ve needed stuff, or even needed to just borrow weird sized spanner’s for an hour or two. And nice people who’ve turned up when they say they will. Zero stars to the grabby, entitled people who say they want something then can’t be bothered turning up, including the person who couldn’t collect plants until the next day so told me ( not asked) to put them in the shade and water them……and then didn’t bother collecting. The site works well, it’s the idiots and selfish people who detract from it.

So far, so good! Listed a few items that I wanted to get rid of yesterday and it was all taken away today! Environmentally friendly way of decluttering. I will recommend the site to all my friends and family.

Great site I use to donate anything from plants to a large TV, or smaller items in good condition. The downside is, a huge percentage of people are the same 'professional beggars' functioning with many email addresses, who ask for high value items or a long shopping list of items, they are eager to snap at you entitled if you dare tell them this is not acceptable. Some arrive very late and text you 'I am round the corner' when they are even 30min late to pick up the TV, or worse, never arrive, showing how disrespectful they will treat everyone and society in general in a repeated pattern (even after exchanging many emails/text messages with them and telling them many people wanted that item). Apparently they even snap at moderators, swearing, if it does not go in the pattern it suits them, thinking they are the only ones with problems in the world. Unfortunately is the same group of people you find in all major cities, used to receiving so many 'freebies' all their lives, some selling the items they get here via other sites or even complaining when you tell them they have been chosen from the dozen people wanting the same item: they are never happy.

Two tips: 1) Arrange the final pickup time and address via mobile phone / texting so that you have their number if they are late or do not show. This way they "have skin in the game" and are less likely to be careless if you can call them, etc. 2) Maybe wait a day before picking a recipient from the repliers. This gives normal working folks a chance to reply. The "professional beggars" tend to reply within minutes with generic responses. You can generally tell who is a bit more thoughtful in replying. I've had very good success over the years with these two tips. Good luck! - Deron

I absolutely LOVE Freecycle - I have picked up loads of excellent quality items (wardrobes, glass coffee table, lampshade, desk, bed, mirror, drawers, bedside table to mention just a few). I have also passed on many unwanted items including a bike, old desk, coffee table, towel rail, bedding, clothes. I guess it depends where you live

Only had one experience, but overall was pretty good. I guess because the other end was interested in the product I was advertising, so the whole process was pretty smooth, even though I had to rush because of the short time frame I had. My only complain would be the platform's ux design, but since I only needed to use the site once, I wouldn't say it was a major problem.

Overall very good experience. Have been able to give away seamlessly loads of things Vs sending for recycling or landfill. One young woman from the Ukraine was looking for warm clothes for her mother. We ended up talking about her journey. No complaints - great idea.
