ForYourLegs.com is a division of Aleva Stores. Our parent company, American Medical Services, was founded in 1957 by Joseph L. Gaskins. "Mr. G.", as everyone knew him, was born in 1914 in a small farming community in southern Indiana. At age 3, he lost his leg to infection. After crutching to school and around the farm for 10 years, he received his first prosthetic leg. It was at that point in time he decided to dedicate his life to prosthetic manufacturing and to assisting those with medical needs. In the late 1930s, he moved to Michigan and continued working in the medical field. In 1957, he opened his first store in Pontiac, Michigan. Over 50 years later, we are proud to carry on his tradition of assisting those needing healthcare products. Through the power of the Internet, we have been able to not only carry on his legacy, but to expand it with the creation of Aleva Stores. We now serve over 1,000 customers daily and are quickly becoming one of the most respected healthcare product retailers in the industry. "Mr. G." recently passed away at the age of 94. He is greatly missed by us all, but we know he is looking down and smiling upon all he's created. Today, his legacy is carried on by his son, Larry Gaskins, and his grandson, Derek Gaskins. Larry, Derek and the rest of the ForYourLegs.com team want to thank you for visiting our site and for choosing us for your compression therapy needs.

I bought a pair at Walmart as a test after my doctor told me I needed to start wearing support socks. I could feel the difference almost immediately. The swelling was kept to a minimum and my legs never felt tired once all day long. I decided to check on-line and I'm glad I did because I was able to save a lot of money by buying direct. I would recommend these sock to anyone whose doctor tells them they need to wear support socks.

I got all done ordering online and when I went to print the receipt, the whole screen disappeared and I had NO IDEA whether the order had gone through or not. Since it was Sunday and we were traveling, I did not get to call until Tuesday. The Customer Service rep was great! She told me it di go through, but also informed me that one of the stockings I had ordered had been discontinued and they were completely out but would substitute an other one. I am not sure what would have happened with the replacement if I had not called. It is difficult with things being discontinued as well as the sizes being changed. I love the product and the free shipping so I will continue to order from them, but I hope things get better.

My last order was back ordered, and I was still charged for it. Most companies wait until your order ships before charging you. I still do not have my order, so I called the company and canceled so I can get a refund. I do not like this policy at all. I also do not like the fact that I was not told when to expect the order. I will not order from this company again.

We have never been able to find a pair of socks that our son liked until we found these! He would always complain about the seam of the socks bothering him. I thought what do we have to lose in trying these socks out. They came and I had him try them on and was hoping they would feel ok. He loves them! So glad we found these socks. I placed another order after I was sure our son liked them. They are worth every penny!!

I bought two supports for my foot that is recovering from Achilles tendon surgery. I had tried the ankle supports available at local stores but found the top of the cut-out at the heel landed right on the most tender part of the Achilles. One support is very simple and seems to help. The second has an insert in the sides and I am not fond of it. All in all, both products are better than what I could find locally.
