Losing weight and clothes are looking better.

I am doing great with this medication. My weight loss hasn’t been quick, but steady and that is what I want. I want to lose 10 more pounds, making my total weight loss just over 20 pounds. I anticipate this taking 3 more months or so. One of the things I like about this so much is that you just don’t bother me! I’m 63 years old and have been on many, many diets. I know what healthy foods are and I know I need to exercise and I don’t need any coaching on all that. I have just always been so hungry, and this medication has helped with this a lot.

Dangerous and a rip off! I spent a long time answering questions truthfully, and explained that I work out regularly, I walk, travel a lot and have no mental issues, anxiety nor depression. I also have no illegal drug dependency. Well, they sent me Bupropion 150 mg tablets, an antidepressant to treat Major Depressive Disorder, in addition to Naltrexone tablets used to treat Alcohol Use Disorder and Opioid Use Disorder. When I called, I was contacted by six different doctors with foreign names, never a human! I paid for six months, the biggest misdate, because they shipped three months worth of narcotics and refused to reimburse my money. I lost almost $300 in narcotics pushed by this company.

I signed up for Hers’ weight loss program after seeing advertisements for a five-month oral medication kit that included medical support. I understood and accepted that the specific kit would be prescribed based on the intake questionnaire. However, one of the medications prescribed require appropriate monitoring, particularly with laboratory work. As my dosages increased, I began experiencing side effects. When I raised these concerns—especially regarding the compounded medications—I was repeatedly told that I would “get used to them.” A significant issue with the compounded medications is that if you experience side effects from one component, you cannot discontinue or adjust an individual medication. Hers was unwilling to remove specific components and instead advised switching to a different kit, which would require an additional out-of-pocket expense. When I asked about monitoring labs related to increasing dosages, I was told I would need to follow up with my primary care provider for lab work, as Hers does not order or monitor labs. This was concerning, given that some prescribed medications, such as metformin, should be closely monitored due to risks like lactic acidosis and renal impairment. Additionally, I was advised I could stop one medication, bupropion, abruptly after being on it for approximately six weeks, despite the fact that it should be tapered to avoid potential withdrawal or adverse effects. Overall, I felt that my concerns about side effects and possible adverse reactions were consistently minimized. When I cancelled my renewal to avoid being charged again in February, my entire plan was immediately canceled, and I lost access to the patient portal altogether. This prevented any further communication or follow-up. I ultimately decided to return to managing my care with my primary care provider, as I no longer felt confident that Hers was fully aware of which medications I was taking, at what dosages, or for how long. Responses often felt generic and conditional (“if you’re on this dose” or “if you’re taking that medication”), rather than tailored to my actual treatment plan. Given the cost of the program—especially considering that many of the medications included are widely available at very low cost (some under $5, with metformin being free at many pharmacies)—the level of care and oversight did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, I do not feel the service justified the price I paid.

I am taking the pills for my hair. They are definitely working. My hair feels much healthier and has started growing. I don’t notice much difference in the thickness but that might take a little longer. It has grown since I’ve been taking the pills. I will continue to take the medicine as long as possible. I would highly recommend “hers” medicine for anybody wanting to improve the look and length of there hair.

I thought I would see results a little sooner. The app is good and I like the reminders. I hope to see more weight loss soon.
