They canceled my membership then told me I would have to sign up again and to pay an extra $100 more per month
I contacted Hers to make a change to the billing of my existing membership. I did not ask them to cancel it. Hers canceled my membership anyway and later acknowledged that it happened because of an error on their end. Despite that, Hers repeatedly insisted they could not reinstate the membership they had canceled. Instead, I was told I would have to reapply and, if approved, move to their new pricing structure, which would cost me approximately $100 more per month. I asked for the issue to be escalated. I even proposed that if they truly couldn't restore my previous membership, they could simply credit the difference. That wasn't meaningfully addressed. I just kept receiving the same canned response: they couldn't reinstate it. Then, after repeatedly telling me reinstatement was impossible, Hers started sending me messages inviting me to renew/reactivate my membership. So which is it? This is the kind of administrative inflexibility I cannot stand. Hers made an error with my account, acknowledged the error, and then expected me to absorb the financial consequences rather than find a way to correct it. I have screenshots documenting the entire situation and have now filed a consumer complaint with the New York State Attorney General's office. Hers made the mistake. Hers should make it right.
