Tucktec Folding KayaksReviews of foldupkayaks.com

Bought my tucktec in February. Didn't get it into the water till May. But now the end of August it's been crazy I've been in the100s of times.and have sold at least 5on the spot love this product

My experience with Tucktec Folding Kayaks has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Not only did I encounter multiple issues with their defective 2023 design, but I also discovered that the company engages in unethical practices by banning and censoring users who express concerns, even if they do not violate any rules or guidelines. To make matters worse, Tucktec also filters negative reviews on their own website, further obscuring the truth from potential customers. Let's start with the alarming practice of banning and censoring users. Tucktec Folding Kayaks seems determined to create a false image of customer satisfaction by silencing anyone who dares to voice negative feedback. Even constructive criticism is met with swift and unjustified actions, leaving dissatisfied customers feeling unheard and disregarded. This heavy-handed approach is not only unethical but also undermines the trust we should be able to place in reviews and opinions. Adding insult to injury, Tucktec takes their censorship efforts to another level by deleting or filtering negative reviews on their own website. This manipulative tactic aims to create a facade of unwavering positivity around their products. By erasing genuine feedback, they deny potential buyers the chance to make informed decisions and perpetuate a misleading narrative about their product quality. My personal experience with Tucktec's 2023 design only served to confirm the validity of negative reviews. The kayak I exhibited a range of flaws, from faulty construction to subpar material changes. These defects compromised not only the performance of the kayak but also safety during use. Despite attempting to reach out to Tucktec for assistance, I was met with silence in regards to censorship, further highlighting their lack of accountability. Considering these egregious practices, I strongly caution against trusting Tucktec Folding Kayaks. Their ban and censorship of users who express legitimate concerns, coupled with the deletion of negative reviews on their own website, raise serious questions about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. Instead, I urge you to explore reputable alternatives that prioritize transparency, open dialogue, and the provision of reliable products. In conclusion, my experience with Tucktec Folding Kayaks has revealed a troubling pattern of unethical behavior. Their censorship tactics indicate a company more interested in maintaining a facade of satisfaction than addressing genuine concerns. As consumers, we deserve transparency and honesty. I advise you to approach Tucktec with caution and consider supporting companies that value customer feedback and prioritize product quality.

My sister and I kayak on rivers, creeks and lakes in Minnesota and Florida. We love our kayaks and want to buy more for family to come with. Easy to transport, assemble and carry. This is our second year of owning tucktec kayaks.

I am an outdoor person and love paddling "in the wild". Not always is a car-accessible launchspot close, and I also want to be ready whenever I like to, having great opportunities close to work. So I was looking for a portable solution that fits into the trunk and can stay there, to be ready when needed, and can be easily carried a mile or so if needed. I excluded inflatables, as they are slow and moreover get poked easily in swamps, mangroves and areas with a lot of branches, debris etc, and you don't wanna capsize in the Everglades. Basically, I wanted the performance of a hard-shell that doesn't easily crack and great portability. I bumped into tucktec in 2021 and since then am the proud owner of 4 tuckyaks, three different generations. All yaks are fantastic and do exactly what they promise, and the company continuously improves, so the newer ones are even better. Even now after hundreds of usages (and folds), all year round (living in South Florida) all four yaks are still in great shape, never had an issue and never needed repair! To go for tuckyaks was one of the best buying decisions I ever made, a truly great product. The company is very transparent, cares about customer relations and enjoys getting feedback from customers. If you ever have a question, they get back to you in no time. The yak itself is very stable, probably the most stable kayak I ever used, as it is very wide, so carrying gear, turning around or even standing up is easily doable. It is still a recreational yak, and as such of course not that fast like ocean kayaks or other performance trimmed yaks, but with its 10 feet length it is optimal for mangrove tunnels and narrow passages, as it is super flexible and easy to maneuver around. Also it handles wakes from boats passing by without any problems and keeps you confident even in rough waters. A truly great product for calm and semi-calm waters (as it is an wide open yak with no sprayskirt), rivers, lakes, swamps or intracoastal waters that I can highly recommend!

We love these foldable kayaks, the Tucktec company, and the community! Seriously, these kayaks are easy to assemble, lightweight, easy to transport, sturdy, durable... and not to mention affordable! The tucktec team is fantastic and has unmatched customer service- I've never seen anything like it! We are super grateful that this company has made kayaking accessible to us. Get the Tucktec, join the community, and get on the water and have some fun!

After many years of enjoying my hardshell kayak, I was skeptical about using a folding boat. I've tried inflatables, which were terrible. I'm an avid RVer, so the concept of a boat that could be stowed inside the storage compartment on my 5th wheel sounded wonderful. A couple months ago I took the plunge and ordered my 10' light-blue kayak, and I couldn't be happier! It arrived quite quickly, the tracking info was great, and the instructional videos were super helpful. I've literally taken it all across the country, and have enjoyed paddling it immensely. I've used it for a hike-in only spot, which would have been impossible for my hardshell. The wide beam provides incredible stability in rough waters, and the ease of use makes the Tucktec my go-to for even my local lake here near my home in Montana. I highly recommend Tucktecs to anyone considering kayaking!

Tucktec kayaks are handcrafted, quality boats, really fun to use, lightweight, easily transportable, AND a terrific value. Plus the customer service is second to none! Love my #Tucktec!!

I love my Tucktec. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble and fits right in my trunk. Way more convenient then putting my kayak on the roof of my car and strapping it down. Very good quality. Stable in the water.
