Extremely Disappointing Experience
UPDATE: FNBO responded to my review with the same generic, copy-and-paste rhetoric they use for nearly every negative review—and there are plenty of them. Instead of posting canned responses that pretend to show concern, how about addressing the issues that keep generating so many negative reviews in the first place? Actions speak louder than scripted replies. My experience with First National Bank of Omaha has completely destroyed my trust in this company. Having your credit limit reduced without any clear explanation is frustrating, disruptive, and makes it impossible to rely on this bank. It feels like customers are treated as numbers instead of people. Before opening an account or credit card with FNBO, I would strongly encourage anyone to read the reviews on Trustpilot, ConsumerAffairs, and the BBB. Seeing so many people describe similar experiences should give any potential customer serious pause. A financial institution should reward responsible customers with consistency and transparency—not surprise them with decisions that can negatively affect their finances, credit utilization and even credit scores. If this is how FNBO chooses to treat its customers, it's hard to understand why anyone would trust them with their business. This has been one of the worst banking experiences I've had, and I won't be doing business with FNBO again. I cannot recommend this bank to anyone looking for a reliable financial institution. A company's culture is reflected in how it treats its customers. Based on my experience, FNBO has shown a complete lack of transparency, accountability, and respect. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
