Bought Bike in March based on Sept delivery - still not arrived and estimated now to be Feb/Mar - but probably that date will be missed too.
No word past September, then constant delays, with either no information or updates with no real information. Yes there are some reason for delays, like Covid, which now is causing shipping delays, but most of the delays I think are due to bad planning and lack of experience. That I can forgive if they were upfront and honest to their customers about what is going on, but that isn't the case.
When you ask questions on FB group, Moderator deletes your posts and bans you from group, and makes out you are a trouble maker.
They are great at PR and answer your questions, straight away when you are looking to buy, but one they get your money, you don't hear from them.
Hadn't delivered any orders outside of US, and they were already concentrating on making more money by offering other products.
Worst purchase experience I've ever had - definitely won't be buying anything from this company again, and wouldn't recommend to anyone in future, even if the bike is great!! It's just not worth it.

Run From This Company
Don't walk away from FLX...Run! Run as fast as you can. I received the bike about a week ago. I've ridden about 150 miles. I'm not impressed at all. Total waste of money. In addition, the customer service is awful. FLX does not respond to emails quickly. The worse part is Evan Teed, the moderator of their FB Group. He deletes your posts and talks down to you. I have been banned from their site for no reason. Very unprofessional.Stay away from FLX.

FLX and Miles brand are nothing but slick marketing fronts
FLX and Miles brand are nothing but marketing companies, sleazy
I've been able to witness through several of their campaigns now-the face of these companies isn't what he portrays (as seen in his YouTube videos, he's challenged at assembling his own bikes)-he does a good job at selling hipster t-shirts if you're interested though.

FLX only loves your money
I ordered 2 bikes from FLX, and after 14 months.. you read that right, after 14 months I have finally received both of them. Sadly there are plenty of others who are still waiting.
FLX relies heavily on marketing to push their bikes to consumers. I fell for the trap easily. FLX has never been upfront about their delays, they have broken many promises to their backers- they promised original backers updated LCD screens and never followed through- telling buyers to read the fine print.
Babymaker bikes has an official Facebook page for their group. But any negative comments quickly got you banned, hence an alternative FB page was created "official Babymaker owners" with over 1500 disgruntled, banned or otherwise discarded riders that sought peer support for their bikes rather than the company itself.
FLX loves the money that they made during the pandemic, there is no loyalty to their customer base. If you order from them, be ready to be on your own, despite the numerous promises made by Rob and his team.
Before you purchase a bike from FLX, I would encourage you to take a look at all the other bikes on the market. These bikes are being produced in China and there are plenty to pick from.. for much cheaper and with some companies you can get your bike in a week.
Don't be disillusioned by their specs.. they claim 50 miles range on their bikes, I have 2 of these and haven't seen any range remotely to that end, unless you set the assist to minimal and ride downhill in a hurricane.
Rob personally challenged my review of this bike to have the review removed and then emailed me asking me to rewrite my previous review. Rob, if your reading this- I hope you enjoy the new review. I could feel the love you have for your backers by the unanswered emails, by the broken promises of upgrades, the "revised shipping delays" and the banning from your FB page... With the BM 2.0 due any day now, FLX is on a mission to cleanup their image on social media, don't be fooled like the 1.0 backers did. You can find a better bike for less and a far superior customer experience. This is my honest, unbiased review. Thanks for taking the time to read it!
Response from FLX BikeAug 27, 2021
Hey Tom, I see both of the Babymakers you pre-ordered have been delivered by FedEx, one May 16th and the other August 12th. Thanks so much for your patience during the no doubt agonizing wait, I only hope the wait was well worth it now that you have both bikes!
The Babymaker was designed 100% in house by FLX engineers. After it’s crowdfunding success cheap knockoffs have popped up in many places, but you sir have the real deal!
I trust now that your Babymakers have safely arrived that you will consider updating this post with a fair review of your experience. The Team’s worked their butts off to build those bikes for you and I hope the hard work has translated into many hundreds of miles of ear splitting fun!
Thanks in advance Tom, support is here if you need anything, and happy riding!

Slick videos does not Equal Good customer service
The main issue is customer service. I can't rate the quality of the bike bought via an indiegogo campaign because it's not yet been delivered. The initial estimate was September. Delays on crowdfunding campaigns are not uncommon for new companies. This one is not and let everyone know that 'this is not our first rodeo'. Alas delays now looking closer to a 6 month or so which makes it around a year since they happily received my money. That's not cool.
Explanations as to causes of delays have offered inaccuracies (claims that they were awaiting an importers license to Australia when NO such license exists for imports to Australia).
Customers who dare question causes for delays are verbally attacked by their Facebook Admin Evan who calls people liars, then deletes their comments and bans them from posting. This has led to the rise of an alternative FB site where people can share their ideas, frustrations and positive ride experiences where the US customers have been lucky All other locations seem to be delayed.
There's rumours now that FLX might be about to run another crowdfunding campaign. That starts to feel like a giant PONZI scheme where one campaign is used to fund another. I hope that is not the case. Apparently our bikes are now 'on the water' as of today which will mean about 6 weeks before potential arrival. I'm hopeful but not confident. The bike is apparently pretty good. Pity the FLX customer service is appalling and based on my experience I'd not recommend them.

They get a 1 star…
They get a 1 star because I backed them on indigo after falling in love with their "Sterling" model. Now it's more than 4 months late and on top of that they changed color schemes last minute without telling everyone. Oh and they also went back on their word on the Display because at first they said if a certain number of bikes where sold, all bikes bike display would be upgraded and now they're saying that most won't be getting the free upgrade but can buy it on their website. Scammers for sure

Missing Employees and missing communications
People that I worked with to solve a problem I had with the order are no longer with the company. This was a customer service rep and her Supervisor.
Additionally I was told that there was no record of my problem, no record of any of my communication with the two employees, or that they were going to rectify the problem. Still waiting ! ! ? ?

Frame broke
Bought a flx trail from campaign on indie gogo. Arrived roughly to plan but 18 months on the frame cracked. Buy cheap Chinese rubbish buy twice. Contacted flx and they didn't care as outside of warranty. A fair few owners had the same problem. Poorly made with cheap components that fall to pieces. £1600 down the drain. Spend a bit more and buy a named brand with quality components. I now own a Giant and love it.
