I booked flights for Thanksgiving, selecting the best option for us from the Flights Nest website. I received a call the next day saying the fares had gone up. I went ahead and booked with Flights Next, paying the higher fare, which was just a bit lower than what I could get directly from the airline. Yesterday I book flights for Christmas, selecting the best option from the Flights Nest website. Again, I received a call the next day saying the fare had increased by $700 (four seats). I asked if this was their schtick—show a good price on the website then call and say the prices had gone up. This time, I didn't book with them, and we just tickets for less directly from the airline. Maybe this was an unfortunate coincidence and they can generally obtain the fares shown on their website, but two times in a row was too much. I won't be using Flights Nest again.

I understand that this sounds very frustrating and disappointing but we unfortunately can't do much about it as the prices and policies are governed by the airlines and they have full rights to withdraw any fares/policies at any given time under the disclaimer section provided by them to the travel agencies. However it goes without saying that you would prefer your customer to discuss issues with you in person, but even an overly emotional online review might contain a bit of insight. Negative feedback can shine light on blind spots and be a wake-up call for you and your team.
