My whole family keeps aquatic life. Some of us dabble in the business. For a short time, we utilized the Fishlore Forums. Members would try to help us with our issues and in turn, we would offer our insight into theirs. But time and time again, threads that were both constructive and productive, would get hijacked by Fishlore Moderators whose only purpose was to display their muscle. They'd pop in from nowhere and throw out their unsolicited opinions and then essentially dare us to dispute them. Inevitably, the OP would get even more confused and the thread would die. A few times we took the discussion to a more private area but it just became easier to utilize different aquatic forum sites. It was the weirdest thing ever. No idea what Fishlore is hoping to accomplish by abusing their active members. It is what it is I guess. Our family moved our accounts to a different forum with a more positive vibe. I personally would never recommend Fishlore to a fish-keeping friend much less someone new to the hobby. The culture there was too hostile for me.

We regret you feel moderators intruded on threads, however, Fishlore is by nature, a forum. No one, especially mods are prohibited from participation. The primary purpose of the site is to arm the community with information needed to protect and flourish living aquatic life. Disagreements and contrary opinions, though at times unpopular, may reduce suffering or unnecessary expenses. Moderators have a responsibility to address certain topics, but we regret you wound up feeling alienated. Our small group of moderators are tasked with dealing with hundreds of members online at a time. Their priority is keeping the site family friendly, welcoming, law abiding, and free. Sometimes this may result in perceptions of intolerance but all rules are designed to protect aquatic life, the forum and our wonderful community. We believe the far and vast majority of experiences are positive and helpful. Thank you for your past involvement and we invite you to return to the forum for what we hope you will find as good vibes!

Best forum on the web for information, proper techniques, and friendly people. Very well moderated to keep it a fun and friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend. This forum is what started me out, and I still refer to it for help. 10/10.

Readers Beware. Today, Fishlore Representatives posted a link to this Trustpilot page with a caption that begs people to come here and give them positive ratings. In the caption, it states that their poor reviews are from from people they've banned from their site, which couldn't be further from the truth. Clean up your act Fishlore! Stop allowing your moderators to bully and humiliate the members of your group. Keep it in perspective. You're a fish forum.
