Instead of just giving a few warnings before banning moderators are banning people instantly, who came up with the idea to give some rando such power I think it’s only right to give warning as everyone deserves a second chance also once banned you can’t rejoin just plain stupid people learn from their mistakes

It's an okay place. If you're new and not interested in much beyond small community tanks this is for you. If you're into larger fish and more advanced topics, I'd go elsewhere. Mods seem very thin skinned. Pathetic asking members to give positive reviews.

We asked for reviews from our members because this page was mostly comprised of reviews from banned members that violated our very simple rules. If you look at our corresponding reviews on the android and apple app stores you will get a very different picture of our community because we’ve been more proactive in asking for reviews in our apps.

Very peculiar forum with group of experienced in fishkeeping people from which most seem to have narcissistic self-centered personality which absolutely does not tolerate any type of criticism. As long as you agree with all they have to say you are tolerated. But as soon as you put your foot in front of the line, you get spanked and often unpleasantly retaliated. I found several interesting tips on that forum but when tried to contribute in exchange, was simply ignored... or I think I was as fishlore "experts" never reply with gratitude to valuable comments from newbies or those members who have their own opinions, - different from theirs, instead they often are silent. So find what you need and do not waste your time in contributing, you will not gain anything from it, you may get unwelcome instead.

We don't have "experts" on Fishlore but we do have a lot of extremely knowledgeable fish keepers but I don't see any of them proclaiming themselves "experts". We are just aquarium hobbyists that help other aquarium hobbyists. We very much welcome debate, especially if it can help advance the hobby, but rude or insulting posts are not tolerated.
