The people that respond to your posts are top notch. They are very helpful and each fish has an expert. The minor problem is the search. Keywords are not prioritized.

This was a very great forum overall. The mods were very friendly and the members have helped me A LOT. I went from a 0.5gallon betta bowl to a beautifully scapped 8 gallon tank. They answered all my questions patiently even though some of them were very dumb questions. I definitely do recommend joining this forum. I do have to say, they are a little stricter than other forums and won't give warnings before banning. However, I was banned for (I think) no reason at all. Maybe I did something wrong but I do not remember it, but could I at least know what I did wrong? It just said that I was banned and the reason was rule violations. I went through all the rules and nothing sticked out in my mind. I also didn't get any emails about what I did wrongly. If any mods of Fishlore is reading this, could you please tell me what I did wrong? My username was BettasXD. Thank you.

FishLore is the first place I go if I'm experiencing issues in my freshwater hobby. There are so many experienced members that are ready and willing to give of their knowledge and time. I also give back when I can.

My first "go-to" site in terms of information. Always have it open in my tabs. Also the members and the moderators help along the way. Its been a pleasure to learn, get help and also help others. And it also makes some nice room for creativity.

Some what helpfull for beginners ... But then you cant trust on any one giving you opinion just by looking at pictures and not even Asking what part of world you live in Tap water in every part of world is not same ph, gh kh is not same. And the experienced one have no scientific logic other than arguing because they themselves are ametures not doing experiments just learning from other bunch of ametures ...

I have so far had a pleasant time talking and learning on Fishlore I am new haven't been on long, so I don't feel quite like giving 5 stars yet but so far it's been pretty nice, I have gotten to know alot of people on here who have been very kind to me and helped me through alot cycling my tank and answering my questions. Have not experienced and negative really I made a couple of mistakes "posting to wrong part of forum and posting a pic of the tank I wanted to buy /Oppps" they were not mean about it by all means they just let me know it was a no no and took it down, understandably I know copywrite rules I thought it was just the link my bad lol . I hope to be a member for many years to come we shall see. ;)

Love this forum. I've run into a couple know-it-alls, but that's par for the course with literally every forum everywhere. A majority of the members are extremely helpful (in a nice way!) and it's a great community for the hobby.

I constantly come to fish lore for tips on maintenance and to find information useful for keeping my fish and snails happy and my aquarium clean and healthy.
