I placed an order on Tuesday paid 2nd day shipping for McGillicuddy's Cherry Schnapps Liqueur for my birthday weekend for memorial day. Get an email showing order was still pending on Wed, contacted company was informed that they were having computer problems...I check FedEx today May 23 and now delivery will be here 4 days after original delivery date May 23...

I know that people tend to write reviews more often when they have negative experiences with a company rather than a positive one, so I try to make it a point of giving a shout out to a company when I've received good service. In my case, after performing a search for a nice wine I recently had at a restaurant, Fine Wine House had that same wine at a very reasonable price, with a very reasonable shipping cost as well. I checked the boxes that said I wanted to be notified if my wine or vintage wasn't available, because I certainly wanted that same wine and year that I had tried. My biggest surprise was that I ordered late on a Thursday night (maybe 11:00?), and received all 4 bottles of the exact wine and vintage I had ordered, on Saturday afternoon! I live about 150 miles from where they're located, so not a big surprise that it arrived quickly, but that was super quick! 5 stars all around to Fine Wine House.

Order a case of 2008 Chardonnay, they confirmed, processed the order and shipped...one case of 2009. Interestingly, they provided an invoice in the box for 2008 but 12 bottles of 2009. I guess they thought they could sell me something similar. When I called to complain they refused to issue credit. They explained the 2009 was better than the 2008. Avoid this joke of a wine retailer. They will use any tactic to take your money. Worse wine retail experience that I have ever had. I buy 100s of cases of wine a year.

Ordered a bottle of Port and received an email confirming my order. Next day got a second email saying my order status had changed to "awaiting fulfillment." The 3rd day got another email asking me to call the store. The following week and because still hadn't got anything I call them and emailed them (her?) cancelling my order. Following day nobody had acknowledged my email or phone call. Next day the same.Then I received an email saying (she) had sent me an email (that I never got) confirming my cancellation. I believe this to be a 1-person shop that probably gets its bottles from a nearby real store. Never again

I ordered a case of wine from their newsletter special that they send out every week. It arrived literally the next day, and that was via Fedex ground! It was my first order and I was impressed enough that I plan to continue to order from them in the future.

Finewinehouse is one of my favorite wine shops online. I have bought from them for the past 5 years or so. I would recommend subscribing to their email newsletters, they send out some great deals every once in a while.

I CALLED THEM TO CANCEL MY ORDER. SHE TOLD ME WILL CANCEL. ABOUT 5MIN LATER I CHECK MY EMAIL AND MY ORDER WAS SHIPPED. I CALL AGAIN, AND ASKED HER. SHE TOLD ME WE ARE NOT SENDING BECAUSE YOU CANCELD(SHE CHANGED HER VOICE TO EVIL) SOUND LIKE I AM CRAZY OR SOMETHING. I TOLD BUT I GOT EMAIL AND SHIPPED SO MAKE SURE I DON'T GET CHARGE. SHE SAY HUH? FINE, THAT'S ALL? I WAS SHOCK WHAT KIND customer SERVEICE IS THAT? I NEVER EVER BUY FROM FINE WINE HOUSE.
