Find My ProfessionReviews of findmyprofession.com

If you're ready to take your job search to the next level, would recommend Find My Profession. The resume positions me for success at the right level, Pamela did a great job incorporating the highlights we discussed during the initial review and was creative and patient with edits. The LinkedIn profile updates came out interesting and engaging. Why 4, not 5 stars? Cost - comparatively, this is a much higher cost than other services available. What would make the cost more acceptable is the option to request 3-5 versions of the resume/cover letter as part of the package. The current services include a guide to revisions.

Very personalized service. Heather was great at asking me key questions about what I was looking for and clearly explaining steps to use LinkedIn search features. She was also very quick to follow up with notes and suggestions for me to taylor my applications.

In finding a career path it not something that is determined by the features around you thought they help but mostly it an inherent ability that is deposited to make the person a better person and every aspect of that individual is enshrined to make up that ability...

I must caveat my review with the notice that I did not pay for their full service, though based on this experience I can't see them not receiving a 5-star. I initially reached out to Find My Profession to gather information and get a better understanding of the service that would best benefit me. I have included a detailed review of my limited experience. Steven was very helpful in recommending what he felt would be most practical based on my goals and budget and offered to do a limited critique of my resume. After receiving my initial resume critique back I was underwhelmed and felt I had received similarly "helpful" critiques from less expensive sites and opted for a cheaper site/service. However, Steven reached out to me a day later, apologizing for the lack of helpfulness that their critique provided and included a more detailed assessment for resume improvements. I felt this is a fair assessment of the quality of customer service they strive to provide.

So after purchasing the VIP package, I had some initial concerns with the assigned resume writer. When making my concerns known, they jumped in and made sure that issues were corrected and that my full needs had been met. I was pleased with the final product and overall experience based on the tremendous customer service I received. I was even contacted by the company founder to ensure i was satisfied. Above and beyond....!!

It was a really good experience working with this company. My resume and cover letter looked fantastic. The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 was I thought the process took a little longer than I had hoped or expected and the person who did my writing was not particularly knowledgeable in my field and I had to explain quite a bit about what I do.

Excellent service. Provided the documents quickly and in a transparent manner.

On the plus side: 1. My work was assigned to Heather Lewis after about 6 months and she was AWESOME! 2. The support regarding the timeliness for the actual application submission process was good. 3. Pleased with the resume work. 4. Pleased with the Linkedin profile update work. 5. Pleased with the value proposition. Disappointments: 1. One of the key drivers in my decision was the networking using my LinkedIn account. Networking as “me” so to speak. It was my understanding this was a key part of the path to success. I started suspecting that wasn’t happening so I brought it up with Heather shortly after she took over. She confirmed it wasn’t happening as some customers were not comfortable with that piece. She began doing it immediately but that was 6 months into the engagement. 2. Nobody’s fault I guess but I did have higher expectations regarding number of interviews generated by the process/approach. Lastly, the key is whether or not I would use FMP again and/or refer them to others. I think the answer to that would be a reserved “yes”!
