Started fly fishing 3 years ago and could hardly wait to buy Filson products. The Filson Tin packers hat is amazing but the mesh strap vest isn't worth the $210 US, which landed being shy of 400 Cnd. First off the very disappointed that they sourced it to Vietnam, cheap cheap cheap, not well made. They may as well not sell this item. The strap buckles are a soft plastic vs the original metal. The storage pockets are not as large as advertised. Filson prides themselves on being American made and that's why I bought it, but not the case with the fishing vest.

Sadly I have to echo the comments of the review below. We’re visiting the city for New Year’s and Filsons was number 1 on my list to buy a Stetson. A $500 hat. The service was lack lustre at best. We were definitely an inconvenience to the young lady at the front counter. To the point of feeling looked down upon. I asked for medium sized hats. She presented me with large. I requested for colours but NOT black. I was presented with black. Disappointing. It’s not the Filson I remember from 2 years back. There was a man there in his 40s who treated you as a client. It was that previous experience that brought us back to the store, but found it missing.

Waited two weeks so far for a response regarding a broken bag.
