First off let me assure you that this kind of service is legitimate as was explained to me at the Buffalo, NY Passport Agency, so "yes" fastpassport is a confirmed 3rd party courier service to assist you in a last minute passport renewal or first time issuance. Long story short the wife booked a cruise several months in advance my official passport had long since been expired, and I've never applied for a regular tourist passport and of course I procrastinated on doing it until just shy of 14 days prior to departure. In an act of desperation I begin to see several different offerings from 3rd party couriers such as Fastpassport that could get results within days at a cost. Fastpassport was by far the cheapest Legalpassport (stay away from $$$$). In a crunch I paid fastpassport worked with David Donovan who provided all the details even sent me a list of Passport agents (local USPS), but the issue I ran into was that they were all by appointment only and none of which could accommodate me in time for my trip. I ended up booking an appointment with the passport agency in Buffalo, NY and getting my passport that day. Since services were not rendered by fastpassport I figured what's the harm in asking for a "refund". I reached out to David who promptly replied that he'd look into it, and it has been crickets ever since. Bottom line up front this company is legit however they can't put a guarantee on the turn-around, and the moment you pay their fees you have exactly 24hrs to cancel after that no refund regardless which in my case is a travesty since I never ended up using them but they lined their pockets. My only advice to the person reading this review save your money, have a passport agent verify your paperwork, and make an appointment with a passport agency yourself. If your travel is within 14 days you'll get your passport same day. My recommendation for fastpassport is simple I get the service you provide however I think your company would be even more beneficial if you had Passport Agents on staff as opposed to clients having to search for an appointment with the local county clerk or Post Office.

This company expedites your passport/passport renewal with the state dept. They legitimately can't guarantee when your passport will be handled by the state dept BUT they CAN communicate the status and they DO NOT. You get no confirmation that your passport papers/processing have been received, they DO NOT review your submission before sending to state dept, they DO NOT check your status themselves, they DO NOT inform you when your passport is ready and being fedexed to you---your passport just shows up--on your doorstep where anyone could take it. As long as everything is processing smoothly by the state dept, you will receive your passport in the designated time. If there is a problem YOU WILL NOT KNOW and you will NOT be able to contact them. They do NOT answer emails, they are cranky if you call and don't want to talk to you--they want you to email which they may or may not answer. You have no real idea of the status of your very important passport. As such I give them 2 stars only. They communication is NOT GOOD. If I needed a passport expediting service again, I WOULD NOT USE OR RECOMMEND THEM. Addendum: My passport was delayed because of my own error, but Fast Passport at no time initiated a contact with me about the status of my passport....I had to ask them for a status over and over. They promised an email with a status and did not send it. My status page on their site was NEVER updated with a status: passport received from customer, passport sent to agency, passport delayed, passport fedexed back. The status page has a link to a fedex tracking ID. It is NEVER provided so you cannot track your returning passport or even know that it has been sent. This causes stress and anxiety. I have a coworker who also used Fast Passport Center, and even tho his passport came quickly, he had the same issues. He did not know that it was being returned; fedex dropped it on his doorstep and luckily he was there to get it, otherwise it would have sat there all day. He had to contact them to get a receipt for his services so he could expense them...which means they don't do that automatically. His status page was never updated with any info. The issue is they don't communicate what is going on with this very important procedure with a key type if ID. It is substandard business service.
