Burgundy G.
Disappointing. Poorly balanced. Buyer Beware.
The good: Cane arrived within five days. It is the length I ordered. It is attractive. There is a wide selection. The bad: Website was glitchy. I wasn't even sure the cane order went through. There was never a confirmation email. Worst: I bought a brass handled, purple-dyed wooden cane as a walking aid. It is very poorly balanced due to lightweight, cheap wood. I anticipate it will eventually split because of poor engineering. I am hoping this cane will not buckle while I'm using it. I absolutely expected better quality for ~$65, including shipping. Disappointing. Resolution: I will not directly contact the company as the policy is that modified canes may only be exchanged and with a 15% restocking fee. Given the poor quality of this one, I've no reason to believe other canes in the price range will be better, in addition to the difficulty I would experience in returning a walking aid. Based on other reviews here, I think a complaint to Fashionable Canes would be a waste of time and add to customer frustration. Final note: One reason I ordered from Fashionable Canes is to see their quality before I invested in a much more expensive carved wooden tiger walking/mobility device. That was a good strategy as now I know to avoid further purchase from Fashionable Canes.
