Farmers Insurance has to be one of the worst companies to deal with when it comes to insurance claims. I recently had an incident where I hit a deer. They had fought back and forth with the auto body shop.Refusing to pay certain things based on the standard.Which no one seems to know the standard.I have full coverage.Because I do have at least vehicle in pennsylvania, which is required by law.And I pay my premium. After three months with my car at the auto body shop.They refuse to pay five hundred dollars that the body shop needed to release my car.I ended up paying an extra five hundred dollars on top of my deductible, just to get my car back. I already notified the pennsylvania insurance commission.I have reported it to my agent.No one seems to be able to help me in this matter.I will definitely be canceling my policy with this insurance company and finding another one.I used to have nationwide where I had no issues with any accidents or repairs or anything done on my car.They always took care of me and they were fair if you're looking for automobile insurance or any other insurance for that matter, stay clear of farmers.

Wanted a simple task. Get a quote for Escrow on my home. They advertise it as easy, fill out a quick survey and get your white in minutes. Seems simple enough... They have you jump through a bunch of standard hoops, put in all your personal information, address, work information. Keep in mind they keep stringing along from page to large ("your quote coming right up, just a few more questions!)... At this point you start to realize something is off, but I figured I'd give it a go. . On the last page, after they data mine you for every single detail they declare "Sorry! We actually can't give you a a quote. Here, reach in touch with our dedicated professional agent (for a fee) to get started on your assessment. " It's a classic bait and switch. They steal your information upfront, give you nothing in return and then attempt to sign you up with one of their agents. Downright embarrassing and unethical practices right at the point of introduction. Shameless stuff. Will never get anything from this company and will activate recommend all against it at any opportunity. Kind of embarrassed for them after that experience.

I found it impossible to actually file a complaint with Farmers so I'm doing it here. I have a complaint against an agent. Agent Todd Whatley Farmers Agent License #: 1945015 whose office shows to be in Weatherford, TX but he lives in De Leon, TX where I live. He has twice made an obscene gesture (middle finger) to me, first time a couple years ago and a second time today at 4:50pm while driving by my house on his dirt bike. I have actually never met this man but I know why he made the obscene gesture the first time. We met on a street while he was driving a vehicle and I was in my vehicle when he made the gesture the first time. He recognized my vehicle because he had seen me visiting the house of a man he had an issue with involving a property cleanup. I had nothing to do with that issue but Todd knew that I was "associated" with the man. I never once returned the obscene gesture but never forgot it. When he did the same thing today, I don't know if he recognized me or not since my car is in the shop and not at my home. I don't really think he recognized me since he had only seen me in my car before. I was watching him when he drove by on his dirt bike because he circles my block at times. Anyway, he waved at me and when I didn't wave back, he flipped me off and kept going. I had no intention of giving him a friendly wave because I recognized him from the first instance of this happening. I find this type of behavior very unbecoming of someone who portrays himself as a professional. I just wanted you to know about it. I am 70 years old and I consider this senior abuse.

my dissatisfaction is with Farmers as a whole. This is the first time I’ve had such a bad experience with an insurance company. I recently switched from State Farm to Farmers, and that turned out to be a huge mistake that I’ll regret for years to come. In the beginning, I was promised one thing, only for the insurance premium to increase significantly afterward. The communication and overall experience have been frustrating and disappointing. I understand rates can change, but the way everything was presented at the start compared to what actually happened felt misleading. Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed my trust in the company.

I was paid by farmers but rejected by all approved farmers body shops. In other words, paid but cannot repair!

I was told that water damage was covered. When my water heater leaked due to dailure, they refused to cover it. I found out that during the sales process they say it would be covered but add a clause that guarantees they they can avoid coverage. They just dont highlight the clause until a claim is made.

It’s allowing me to see the numbers

When I moved into my home I noticed my 15 year old roof was aging and needed replacement. The Farmers Insurance people came out and said the roof was in great condition, 5 years later farmer's cancelled my policy because they said my roof needed replacing and they were not liable. Farmers was charging me $8,500.00 per year for insurance, a huge ripoff.
