A letter from a couple in 2002 wrote that their Farmers agent and Claims Adjuster “were exceptional in their handling of our grief, what we needed to do, and helpful in many other ways.” That same year, when Hurricane Rita struck Beaumont, Texas, Farmers sent 300 agents to assess damages while policy holders were evacuated. Farmers also donated $100,000 for the city’s emergency operations center and two megawatt generators that restored power to Beaumont. Terrible, terrible, terrible all aspects of customer service. Total disorganization. EXCEPTIONALLY AWFUL.

Their online quote process took my zip code at the beginning of the process and then took me on different steps to take all of my bio data and home address, and finally tells me that they do not provide coverage in my area. Illegal harvesting of people's data.

I was hit by a driver who has Farmers auto coverage. This happened in 9/13 and I am still waiting for them to value my car and decide if it will be a total loss. However, the medical they got signed and closed within 2 days. I shouldn’t have signed anything until all was ready. I have to contact them when I want updates because they don’t keep the app up to date. I have never even been contacted by their total loss department, except a system generated text to send photos of the interior of my car. Sent those a week and a half ago. Called to follow up and they tell me they are working with reduced staff and still never been contacted by their claims dept about damage to my car and whether it is a total loss or not. I got my estimate the day after the accident and almost a month later, nothing. I have a homeowners policy with them and it started at $748 per year, then 2 years ago bumped to over $1200 and last year went up to almost $1800 and that’s with us getting a new roof and never using the policy, ever! Never have had a claim and it has more than doubled.

I was on the phone for over an hour trying to cancel a homeowner's policy, an auto policy and a motorcycle policy. I had to speak with (4) different people to only get (2) of the policies cancelled. Not one person could cancel all (3) policies. I was unable to get the motorcycle policy cancelled, so I must allow it to lapse. I guess this is Farmer's way of screwing you out of money so you can't cancel early.

Only gave a 1 because a 0 wasn’t an option. They have switched to AI doing wirk of agents and now take up to 3 weeks to do policy changes even to correct their errors. They charge you for their errors and eveb send collection agents after you for their errors they never billed you for. Absolute worst company now.

Farmer's lure you in with lower premiums - but they won't pay a claim. Had a water leak behind the fridge, damaged hardwoods and they wouldn't cover it - I promptly dropped them and went back to State Farm where they have never denied my claims.

Great for a few years but anytime I emailed them that their rates were higher than what I could get elsewhere they simply ignored me. Then this year they jacked up the rates again while putting out a commercial claiming if they find lower rates elsewhere they will tell their customer....I'm still waiting on that call, meanwhile I've found car policy for 1/2 the rate and home policy for 25% lower rate. Chumps.
