FamilySearchReviews of familysearch.org

I started using FamilySearch several years ago & it was good but now it's a disaster. I'll put details in. Name, country, birth year etc. & names, places & years come up that don't the fit in any way, another continent, another century, a death when I want a birth. Added to that If you add your family tree anbody can change it, therefore someone who presumably hasn't a clue about researching can alter my details. Today I found such a confused mess that it'll take hours to correct so I've decided that I'm not going to use it anymore. I have researched my familymeticulously for 35 years & spent a considerable amount of money so it's so annoying. I'd like to delete the entire tree but I can't so my advice is not to go anywhere near FamilySearch.

Prity poor when tested Started with my father's details. Found his parents and his wife my mother. Showing my mother as deceased which she wasn't pleased about and no further details.

Its terrible and not user friendly at all. Building your tree is impossible. I can find my family members, but when I try to add them it creates a new person? Why? I told you who they were. isn't the whole purpose of the site to build a family tree? Good luck with that.

They are a scam they stalk families it’s a public family tree the especially add celebrities who might have no relationship to you and a dark secret there is a ritual with the Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints where they do baptisms for the dead people behind family search ordinances your families information is at risk to the public it can even be from different countries the data administration stalks you

if there was a mark lower than this i would give it, its the worst site ever, nothing is correct, they join people from hampshire to people in cheshire and worse, totally wrong

Wow!! they really don’t have anything correct on here. Obviously this is a big scam. Disgusting if you ask me totally disgusting.

Not sure what the point of this site is. Apparently I don't exist. Nor does my husband.

I have a tree on your site and I am really disappointed in how many mistakes I have to correct on my family members. I do a lot of research in retrieving documents and pictures. When I know that my information is correct, I put it in. The next day I go back to this site and all the info I put in has all been changed and with the wrong information. This is so disheartening that I am considering pulling all my documents, Pictures etc and any other info that I have put in to create my tree. When and if I do decide to pull everything off my tree I will not be recommending this site to anyone that asks me about it. You need to shape up this site or you are going to lose honest good people on here. I believe there are a lot of young people on here that really don't care what they do to mess things up on this site. I don't think you have the oversight to keep things in check. Everyone is just running a muck on this site. I hope that you take this under consideration or you won't have a very good site.
