Skeptical but ended good!
I was a little skeptical as I was getting text messages and phone calls from several random numbers as well as the process going through about 3-4 different companies/departments. They offered me a price I didn’t agree with, we haggled back and forth and finally agreed! Car was picked up, check was handed over, still skeptical I went straight to the bank. At first, they said the account was verified but the check was not in the system. I contacted Copart immediately and they contacted dispatch and handled it on their end, an hour later check was cashed! Thank you for your service.

For security, our checks are designed to be deposited and are not designed to be cashed at the teller. So the funds typically take a few hours to clear and hit your bank account. Note to anyone else reading this: if you are considering selling us your vehicle and you do not want to deposit your payment check but instead intend to cash your check at the bank teller or cash your check at a check cashing store, please mention this to our dispatch team prior to scheduling a pickup so we can make alternative payment arrangements and make sure that you are able to get your funds instantly and that your expectations are met.
