Luckily I did not pay for the actual subscription I received a starter box for free from a friend. I have received two starter boxes from friends and each time I have not found the products worth paying the price to actually commit and subscribe.
I feel they just give you a few overly priced items in one box..
I adore subscription boxes - just not this one.
I do however love Ipsy as I receive things that I am actually interested in using and it is more affordable with more products in each bag. I don't care much to receive full sized items when I am just trying them out anymore.

Hi Aly! We're so sorry to hear the items from the Starter box missed the mark for you! Please keep in mind, the Starter box is a trial version of our subscription box, while our full-sized Seasonal boxes contain 7-10 items and includes the opportunity to participate in Customization each season. We hope you find a subscription service that better fits your needs! Xo

Okay value
I have received six subscription boxes from fff. I switched to being an annual member last year. There are some products I love (jewelry, moisturizers and creams), some that are meh (storage containers, blankets, hair treatments), some that I have no idea what to do with (usually fabfitfun picks that I had no hand in choosing). I definitely feel like I get more than I pay for, but it also feels incredibly wasteful having products laying around that I will probably never get around to using by the time the next box arrived. Their electronics are very low quality. Those are priced too high for the cheap material and manufacturing. There's been maybe three fitness-related items since I joined but tons of options for skin care. If you enjoy products that pamper you, I'd recommend fff. If you already have your trusted products and routine, I'd say skip the $200/year.

It’s Okay
Not bad, but not the best. Definitely not worth the hype. If you’re an annual subscriber, like I was; it costs about 200 dollars. For the price, I expected the quality to be a bit better. My fall and spring boxes did not match my expectations. My winter box did, and hopefully my summer box will. I liked the summer customization choices better than I did for the spring. I’m glad that I tried this out, but I think I will be trying out something different now. I will come back depending on the quality of the items.

The boxes are great but technology not so much
The boxes are great. One time I had a broken necklace and they sent me a credit and a new product no problem.
My biggest complaint is that their website/technology/platform is usually never working properly. Always an issue whether its the website not loading, customer service not up & running, not being able to click through to live/add ons/ etc... They should really consider updating their back end technology to make a more user friendly/easier experience!

Spring box 2020
I wanted to explore subscription boxes last month and ordered the fabfitfun spring box.
I agree that I was late to purchasing the box as they usually open for customizations in the month of feb. I was only able to choose from one or two items as the rest were sold out. I contacted customer care to see if they can cancel my box. I was able to cancel my subscription but not the spring box( I contacted a few minutes after I placed the order but they weren't able to cancel from their side.)
I received my box in less than two weeks. Packaging was great. the Wander Mascara is amazing! the Donni cardigan is a little too big for me( its just one size) but I certainly can find a dress to wear it with. I did receive a mystery item that was a vitamin C serum. The calpak travel organizer will also be something I will be using. I dont know if I would have paid $42 for these but thats the whole point of the subscription box.
One thing I would be mindful of is that they have a very different policy when it comes to adding things to your cart. During the spring sale event, I added a box to the cart by mistake(did not proceed) and was charged for the box at the end of the event. That is when I realized- anything thats added to the cart will be completed by them and charged at the end of the event. So be mindful about that.( Yes, the customer care was nice to refund this one time *phew*)
Overall, I think it was an ok experience. Customer service is not bad. I did get an email regarding the summer box. Will I subscribe again? Honestly, I dont know. I like the excitement in receiving the products but I dont think I can afford the cost of it. So maybe not.

Hi Swetha! We always want our members to love the items they receive and we're sad to hear we've missed the mark for you. To help clarify, canceling your account does not provide you a refund for any paid boxes, nor does it stop a pending charge. Your cancellation will go into effect for the following billing cycle and the box you are still set to receive the box you have paid for. We have stated this policy in the terms and conditions agreed to upon signing up and we apologize for any confusion with this. We also wanted to make sure our members are well-informed of how our seasonal sale works which are why we have included information on the website to be more transparent to our members. If there is anything we can do to make your experience better please send our Customer Care team a message at fff.me/care. We would love to hear from you!

Signed up for a discounted Spring 2020…
Signed up for a discounted Spring 2020 Box at $39.99. Was not made aware that there was an additional $20 styling fee and got hit with that two weeks later. I tried to get this rectified through customer service but they passed me onto the “styling team”. When I asked to cancel my account due to perceived unwillingness to refund me, they yet again tried to pass me off to the “styling team” and said that they would reach out to me soon.
Edit: Due to the styling team’s prompt and considerate response, I have to bump up their star rating. They were so helpful and nice!

Thought I would try this box - disappointed in whole experience
Thought I would try this box, even though I am not much of a "girly girl". Maybe I would enjoy some stuff I wouldn't normally buy, usually because beauty products are so expensive, and if you don't like it, you are stuck. They were running a special where you would get a couple of additional items with your purchase. I ordered, then later that day saw a commercial for $10 off order, and wished I had found that instead, but that part is on me. Well, I bought it and was stuck anyway, and forget about customer service.
When you first go in to order, there is a customization option where you can pick some items to come in your box. As a brand new customer, I was unfamiliar with their services and site and was just trying to get through it. I found that out of the 5 or so options on each choice page, only one or two were still available, and probably because no one wanted those choices. But it brought up the question that if the items you wanted are not available and you do not make a choice from the remaining items, they have a surprise me option. I wasn't sure if the "surprise me" was from the sad items that were left on the page, or if they sent something else. If they sent a random item from the leftovers, I was going to cancel as I wouldn't have wanted or used any of those items. So I thought I would call customer service. Uh oh. Customer service is farmed out to a non-English speaking country and their employees are not at all familiar with the actual workings of their website. I spent a bit of time trying to explain to the agent what I was speaking about, citing the actual text and pages on the website and so on. When I hung up, I was no more informed than before I called. I decided to roll the dice and proceed with the order.
I also received a follow up e-mail asking how their customer service was. I explained what happened and guess what? I received no response. So I would say there is no customer service at this company.
When I got the box, my 20 year old daughter and I opened it. She is more into make-up than I am, so I figured between the two of us, it would be like Christmas. We received 8 items for $50.
1. a bottle of water to spray on your face
2. a shower sponge with soap already in it
3. a jar of face mask
4. make-up finishing spray
5. tea towels
6. a face mask sampler
7. a small bottle of wrinkle moisturizer
8. a wrinkle remover glo light
As the bonus gifts we got a reed diffuser, a cheap bracelet, and one other thing I can't remember.
This is their $50 box. I gave items 1, 3, 4, 6 and bonus stuff to my daughter. She thought she may get some use out of some of them. The glo light was probably the most expensive and least practical item in there. What am I going to do with that? Water to spray on your face? 25% of items are face masks. Tea towels are being used right now. Shower sponge is fun, but scent of infused soap is not so hot, going to power through it. Haven't used moisturizer yet. Cannot use diffuser because we have cats.
I know, I know, you are probably saying this chick is just never satisfied. I say, nay, nay, untrue. I love surprise packs. Tupperware used to do them, other companies do them. I just ordered a box of surprise organic vegetables from Misfit Market and am waiting for that to come in. It was way less money and it is probably going to be great and maybe inspire me to try something different that may be in the box that I have never had. But this box doesn't make me want to spray makeup glue (setter) on my face. Yes, of course, you sometimes wind up with a dud among your gems. But unfortunately, this box has a gem among the duds. And I think even worse than that (because after all, this is just my opinion, and you could absolutely LOVE everything in this box), is the horrible customer service.
In summary, I still don't have an answer to my initial question, I am not impressed with 8 items for $50 dollars, and someone at the thrift store is going to love a wrinkle light.

So I defiantly got a high of excitement…
So I defiantly got a high of excitement waiting for and receiving the box! But I was disappointed that I did not really get things that I wanted or needed. When I got the box I also received a catalog of the other things that I could have gotten and wished that I had gotten those things or I flat out didn't like the things? I guess you have to pay more to get the things you really want or have a choice to select which defeats the purpose of the box?
Response from FabFitFunApr 17, 2020
Hi Taylor! We are sorry for the confusion! To help clarify, the FFF Magazine insert showcases what you can expect to receive! The Spring box consists of 8 full-sized items valued at over $200 USD and the contents inside your box will depend on your customization options. Each season, members are able to Customize a few items in their box which means box contents will vary. We encourage our members to customize their boxes each season to ensure they're receiving the items they prefer. If Customizations aren't made, an automatic selection of items is made by our team. We hope to have the opportunity to surpass your expectations in the future! Xo
