I have a customer that needs to use a Texting Service
I have a customer that needs to use a texting company to send a monthly reminder to turn in a specific form. So, I started to search for texting companies. I finally landed on EZTexting.com. If you want to test the text you want to send they do have a trial you can use. So, we did a trial and it seemed OK. So, I had the customer sign up for their service. The monthly cost for texting a small group on a monthly basis was about $31/mo. The first thing you have to do after signing up is fill out a Registration form. This form ends up going to the Carriers the company is using. They have to approve you for being able to use EZTexting Services. Well here is where everything started to go bad. Once you completed the form you are sent a pin to verify that it is the person who signed up for the service. Unfortunately the boxes you put the pin in were only on the screen for about 5 seconds. Obviously not enough time to receive the pin. I contacted support via email and explained the situation. All I got back from them was an email that said thanks for your patience and they were going to forward the issue to another group. I gave them all the details of what was happening, so you would think they would get back to me with some suggestions on what to try. That never happened. All they did was send follow-up emails saying thanks for your patience and respond to their email so they didn't close the issue. This went on like this for over a month. I sent them multiple emails telling them the details of the issue. They responded to my email after 24 hours. Not once did they ever suggest anything to get past the issue. This went on for over a month. Also, you should know that the do not have anyone to talk to. Everything is handled through a chat and then email. They ended up charging us for two months of service that never took place. I told them they were the worst support I have ever dealt with as an I.T. professional. I started to look for another company to use. I found one that actually had people to talk to and they even setup an appointment for a demonstration of their product. So, we decided to use them. It took about a week to confirm they were the ones to use. I ever was able to do a test with them on the phone with me. All was good. So, I went back to EZTexting and logged into our account to cancel their service. I sent them an email telling them I did this and that we wanted a total reimbursement for the amount that was paid. They did respond with an email that said they were refunding our money. The good company that we are going to use is GoReminders.com.

Hi Gerry, thank you for flagging this for us. This is certainly not the quality we strive for, and I understand your disappointment. We are looking into this issue and appreciate your feedback.
