Tried Out Ezoic - What a waste of time.
- Consistently broke DNS of website. Consistently broke AMP pages. Consistenly displayed the website incorrectly due to the AI ads sizing incorrectly.
- Ads were displayed in ludicrous positions while "AI" adapted, such as behind paragraphs, images, headers footers etc.
- Big data analytics completely incorrect while GA4 was accurate.
- Stupid little bugs were fixed as soon as I removed Ezoic such a share options on posts working, and headers and footers being displayed incorrectly.
- Worst of all - want to close the account and cannot because of "accrued balance". No way to see accrued balance as I have removed the website. Pretty sure its a GDPR violation when you can't delete your personal data.
- Oh yeah, no chat functions due to being Lvl 1 user, and cannot upgrade because big data analytics is displaying incorrect information.
All problems magically fixed as soon as I rerouted nameservers back to my host.

They Don't Deliver On Their Promises Of Big $$$
Five months with Ezoic almost destroyed my blog. My writers threatened to quit. Ezoic promised three, four times the money I had made with Monumetric. The big money never happened. They never even got up to Monumetric level money ($5 to $8.) Ezoic promised $15 to $20, I got $2, $3, $4 and ran. Comically, "A" lied to my face and said, "we've consistently outperformed Monumetric" as if I was too stupid to know?
Let me bottom line it and then I'll go into detail: My first month with AdSense I made more money than I made in my three biggest months with Ezoic. In other words, at best I was being paid 1/3 what my blog was actually capable of generating. The other two months I made 1/4.
What they don't tell you is this: 1. Their ad revenue is an insane roller coaster ride. You can make $3 one day and $1 the next. 2. Their claims of AI fancy dancy unique whatever ways of building revenue does not exist. It's a come on, a fantasy and a lie. 3. Their tiered ad program where you pay for advertising out out of pocket is a scam. Do not fall for it. Frankly, I think it's the only way they're making payroll, is with the cash that the Premiere tier floats them. 4. Go on Reddit and search for Ezoic or go to Google and type in Ezoic Business Insider and read the story of the employee who stole millions. 5. In July of this year they laid off a lot of people. They're going under. Think of the HMS Titanic going down and that's Ezoic.
Further, customer service is shockingly bad. I had a rep, "B", who assured me that he would find a way for me to get the same analytics data as Google UA had when the G4 transition took place. He did not.
On the last day of UA he sent me on yet another wild goose chase and this time my instincts told me to call my techie. That gentleman told me that B's suggestion was a duplicate of G4 and a complete waste of time. B either didn't know this or didn't care. His philosophy was to just throw $hit at the walls and hope that something stuck.
When I confronted him, he told me that his words were meant to be "moral support" and that he never intended me to believe he'd get an actual answer. My techie found the answer for me in under a minute. If B had just said, "I don't know" six weeks earlier, I would have taken independent action. I relied on B's word to my detriment. This is how lawsuits happen.
Then back to "A". She started laughing once during a zoom meeting when I was telling a serious story about my business. I said, "You find this funny?" She said, "Oh, I was looking at a kitty meme on the computer." The hell with listening to the customer, play with kitty cat memes. It was an insulting and degrading experience to "work" with these people.
The SEO review was a complete joke. Nothing works the way that "C" another employee, said it did. My opinion is that they tell you if you make little tweaks here and there it will raise your SEO standing. They do this to justify why you're not making any money. You're not making any money because you're with Ezoic. Leave them and watch your income soar. It has to because you're in the basement with Ezoic.
Finally, management is something out of a Broadway satire. I asked for a Closing Memo when I left. "D" didn't know what that was and found it threatening somehow that I asked for such a thing. A Closing Memo or Statement Of Accounts, it has different names, is simply something in writing when two people dissolve a business arrangement which states the expectations of the parties.
All I asked for was when I would be paid my money and the interest on my money. This is normal in business. People write down dates of payment, return of keys, if that's applicable, how excess product will be disposed off -- it's just how business is conducted on this planet. You put everything in writing. But not with these people. They are amateurs.
The site itself looks like it was designed by a 4th grader, with jagged green mountains and it is the most non-user friendly site that I've ever encountered. They don't have basic information like pageviews, RPM, clicks, impressions, all the raw data on one sheet like every ad revenue company in existence. I should have taken this as a sign and run the first week. My bad. That one's on me, because the handwriting was on the wall that this was amateur hour.
I always like to be fair and end a review by stating what was done right. In this case, nothing whatsoever. Ezoic deserves an F minus all the way across the boards and the people I've named belong in some other line of work.
In closing let me say that I have a colleague who has a blog in the same vertical as mine and she had the identical experience with Ezoic. We are both now with AdSense and getting paid what Ezoic promised and never came anywhere even close to delivering. Not even 50% of the way. Buyer Beware. If you go with these people, best of luck. You'll need it.

I really don't know were to start
I really don't know were to start, we lost a great deal of revenue on one of our properties during our ezoic 15 week test. Revenues have dropped across the board during the last year but that was expected after the pandemic so testing alternatives like ezoic was worth a try, had we read forums, reddit etc we might have avoided this so really we can only blame ourselves. Using Ezoic DNS broke the site on a near daily basis, there are so many issues with this aspect alone, it is slow and dropped our ranking off the page in google search results. The amount of ads served could be adjusted but were still too many, and really spammy. Staff were desperate to help but were not technically proficient. Their AI isn't AI it is more a macro with functions. The long term outlook must be bleak for this company. Maybe with new management it could be turned around. In the 8 weeks since we ended our test, the site has come back with Adsense, and we have had a jump in rank.

Hi John,
We're truly sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your test with Ezoic. We understand the frustrations that come with revenue loss and technical challenges, and we apologize for falling short of your expectations.
While we're disappointed to hear about your experience with our DNS and ad serving, your input will be taken seriously as we work to make the necessary improvements. There might have been an issue with the configuration of our Leap toolset or Cloud Caching, which are able to greatly improve site speed and Core Web Vitals of our publishers´ sites in most cases.
We understand the long-term impact that platform choices have on your business, and we regret that we weren't the right fit for you at this time. We're continuously working on our technology and services and appreciate your feedback as part of that ongoing process.
We wish you all the best and are glad to hear that you've found success with your site again. If you want to give us another try in the future, we will make sure that our site speed tools are configured correctly and your site isn´t negatively impacted by the cloud integration.
Kind regards!

2x Increase in Revenue - Friendly Customer Support
The bottom line is that my site's revenue per visitor has increased approximately 2.5x since switching from Adsense to Ezoic just over a month ago. I was torn between giving 4 or 5 stars (ideally I would give 4.5), but ultimately went for 5 stars because, in the end, it is a very significant jump in earnings.
I was originally apprehensive to switch from Adsense, which I have been using for over 10+ years, but Ezoic's customer service rep, Connor, managed to eventually convince me to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. He took care of setting up the placeholders (not sure if this is standard practice for all sites, that an "Onboarding Specialist" set this up for you, or whether it depends on your site's traffic), but he it all ready to go and led me through the setup process of Adsense Mediation integration, Google Ad Partners networks, etc. Because I wasn't too sure about the switching to Ezoic and risking losing all of my Adsense income, we set it to run a 50/50 test so that half of my visitors would be served on my regular Adsense website and the other half would go through Ezoic's system. The first couple of days, Ezoic earnings per visitor were about 10–20% higher than my original Adsense version, so I was pretty happy with the results but still wasn't convinced with a significant, but not spectacular, increase in earnings. This gradually grew over time, and after about 2 weeks Ezoic's version was earning approximately 2x per visitor what my earnings were on the original AdSense version. I gradually upped the split from 50/50 to 60/40, then 75/25, and now run 100% of visitors through Ezoic after I started seeing these results.
With the results you see, you might be wondering why I was debating between giving 4 stars and 5 stars. That's mainly due to the setup process and a few speed bumps encountered along the way - fortunately, they were all pretty quickly resolved by Connor, my Ezoic Onboarding Specialist who insisted on me giving Ezoic a try in the first place.
These speedbumps included:
- Apprehension about changing my DNS nameservers to Ezoic's CDN - a bit scary as I didn't understand how this works and how it would affect my site, but overally pretty simply and no downtime at all.
- Broken javascript code - a few snippets of code on my site stopped working when implementing Ezoic. It turns out that Ezoic erases all JS that it encounters on your page to not serve ads from other networks, which at the same time removed JS code for my site that broke my navigation dropdowns and search-as-you-type functionality. Fortunately, when we discovered this happened, Connor turned off Ezoic for a couple of days while we figured out what was going on. Once we identified the problem, Connor was able to "exclude" these javascript function names and external JS filenames so that Ezoic skips over and allows them to be included on the page, and the issue was resolved. As a customer, you don't have access to this exclusion list, so this has to be done by a customer service rep on their end to fix these issues.
- Ugly / Spammy Outbrain "Native Ads" - I really didn't like some of these spammy-looking ad units that were showing up on my site, which I considered really lowered the quality and trustworthiness of my site in my visitor's eyes. I mentioned this to Connor and they were removed the next day.
- Heavier page load: Ezoic loads a LOT of external scripts from dozens of ad networks, so suddenly you have pretty heavy pages being served. Supposedly their CDN with caching (they called it Ezoic Leap) speeds things up, but it's still pretty frightening to look at the page source code of an Ezoic-served page. However, I do have to admit that my Google Core Web Vitals are all scoring super well, so it doesn't really seem to be an issue at all, it's just my paranoia that's the problem here.
Overall, I'm very happy with the significant increase in earnings, very friendly and responsive customer service reps, and I wish that I had made the switch years ago as I would've been earning more than double from my site these last years. It was a bit scary to implement, and with a few speed bumps along the way, it's definitely not as "self-serve" and easy to use as Adsense, but I would say the increase in revenues are significant enough that it is more than worth the hassle to get it set up and running on your site.

Dear Thomas,
Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that you've experienced such a significant increase in revenue since switching from Adsense to Ezoic. Your feedback provides a comprehensive look at both the positive aspects and the challenges faced during the integration process, which is invaluable for us as we continue to improve our platform and services.
We know that changing from a system you've been using for 10+ years is a big step, and thus we're glad to hear that Connor was able to guide you through that transition smoothly, resolving any issues that came up along the way.
As for the issues you mentioned, we appreciate your patience and thank you for bringing them to our attention - That kind of feedback is particularly useful for us to understand where we can still improve.
Thank you for choosing Ezoic. We're thrilled to be part of your growth journey and look forward to achieving many milestones together with you.
Best regards!

Customer Service was saving grace
I really liked the customer service when I needed it (thank you to Brannon), but the ads themselves were messy, my clients didn't like it and it would repeatedly break aspects of my website (like "table of contents" wouldn't work etc). I'd recommend them compared to other ad agencies but I moved on from Ezoic to Mediavine.
Response from EzoicSep 26, 2023
Hi Lizzie,
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that our customer service, especially Brannon, provided you with a positive experience. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as we are continuously working to achieve the best user experience possible for the visitors of our customers´ sites. Meine Website wurde…
Meine Website wurde abgeleht. Grund: Die Seite enthält angeblich verbotene Themen, wie:
Unredliches Verhalten ermöglichen
Erwachsene Inhalte
Gefährliche Produkte oder Dienstleistungen
Keyword stuffing
Download Links
Nichts, aber auch wirklich nichts trifft auf meine Website zu. Meine Website ist ein reines Disussionsforum über PS5 und Spiele Sehr seltsames Verhalten, ich kann nicht einmal Einspruch einlegen. Ezoic will wohl kein Geld verdienen?

No support unless you are a premium…
No support unless you are a premium member. If you have a problem setting their complicated system up you can only access their forum, which is no help at all. I deleted my website from their server because of technical issues which there is no help for. The only assistance is a chat bot that will send you to the forum when it can’t solve your problem.
Response from EzoicSep 25, 2023
Hi Dean,
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're sorry to hear that you encountered difficulties with our support channels. We strive to assist all of our publishers, regardless of their account status. Our Ezoic Community forum is there to supplement our support options and allow assistance for every publisher, regardless of their size, but we understand that it may not solve every issue. We're continually working to improve the support we offer to all our publishers, so your feedback is valuable to us.
