The service was great. The frame I ordered was On back order in the color that I chose and I needed them immediately they expedited shipping at no additional cost and we’re very helpful.

"free returns" is a bit misleading
The company should be more explicit about the refund policy. "Free returns" suggests that the return shipping is free, but in the case of Eyeglasses.com, the term only means "no re-stocking fee." If someone keeps one or more pairs of glasses, then returning the other pair(s) should be absolutely free. The company finally gave me a postage-paid label to return the other pair, but they seemed pretty reluctant and acted like they were doing me a big favor with this one-time courtesy.

Took almost 10 days for them to tell me something that was in stock on their website was unavailable from a vendor. They didn't do more than robo-message me as much and didn't rush the frames I ordered after. They didn't suggest a substitute either. I doubt I will ever order from this place again.

Great selection of frames
I love the fact that they had a great selection of wire frame glasses -- a far, better selection than any local optician's shop that I have visited, in years. I like the fact that they offer MORE than just what is is style, which is all I've found at most local opticians. My only (minor) disappointment, was that certain frames I ordered, ended up not being in stock. An improvement to the website, would be an availability date, for each pair of frames. That said, they were very responsive when I called, changing the order to made adjustments for this. I ordered 4 pair, returned three, and they immediately refunded the difference to my credit card.. (You do have to pay for return shipping... about $10.) I'm having lenses made locally, which seems less risky than having them do it.

I would have given 5 stars except for the long time it took to receive my glasses. From the time I was notified that the glasses were shipped until I received them was 10 days. Need to take a clue from Zapos
