I am a repeat customer and highly recommend EyeGlassDirect for its provided excellent quality prescription glasses, excellent service, very prompt delivery.... they have an outstanding selection of options - everything from different types and colors of lenses and frames to mailing in your existing glasses for them to replace your old lenses. The website answers just about every 'how do I' question... and if needed, their phone customer service is accurate and friendly.... including the owner. I received email confirmations of my order, when they billed my credit card, when they received my old glasses, and when they placed the glasses back in the mail to me. They accept checks, credit cards, and debit cards (including employer 'Flexible Spending Account' cards). In summary - EyeglassDirect is a hallmark for excellence.

Over 10 years ago I purchased some custom made reading glasses with pricey light weight titanium frames in the glasses shop at a local Walmart. A few years later I had the scuffed up lenses replaced. When I went back for another lens set replacement about a year ago, I was told my old frames were obsolete and new lenses were no longer available for them. A few months later I tried a local glasses shop if they could replace the lenses. The professional in that shop told me that after a few years of wear the oils from one's head make titanium frame far to "brittle" for lens replace, and that the titanium would literally crumble into little pieces if they tried to put new lenses in them. Both Walmart and the local glasses shop offered costly alternatives to replacing the lenses. I found Eyeglassdirect online. They seemed so nonchalant about replacing the lenses in my titanium frame reading glasses that I was a little suspicious they might not be on the up and up. I sent in my old glasses. They came back about a week later with new lenses as promised. Walmart and the local glasses shop manager were wrong. Lenses are available for my old frames and 10 year old titanium frames do not crumble into little pieces when lenses are replaced in them. The lenses do not seem to be quite identical. Otherwise, I would give a 5 stars rating. (The problem could very well be that my aging eyes are not identical.)

Tried 3 different optical companies. All three returned a usable lense, but these are the best returned for second pair. A little slow, but by far best quality.

Great service, excellent fit or they will make it right. I have bought several pair over the past years and they have almost always been the right fit. The first pair I ordered had a small problem, but they paid return freight and made new lenses quickly to resolve the problem. If you have a question, CALL THEM! They are courteous and friendly and will gladly answer, with NO computer runaround, you can talk to a REAL person!
