Errors in Exercise.com’s system resulted in numerous clients being removed from my app, their groups or their subscriptions. Exercise.com left it to me to investigate, identify the affected clients and add them back. That took several hours of my time. For clients the system removed from their subscriptions, I now have to manage things manually. This has created ongoing work for me on top of the original disruption. I previously used Passion.io. When serious errors occurred on their side, they waived my fees. Exercise.com, however, declined my request for compensation despite the impact on my business and the work required to fix it. If an error can remove your clients from the app and leave you to find and restore them yourself, think carefully before building your business on Exercise.com.

The first integration for one of my gyms was flawless. The second integration was a disaster that cost me $15,000 in RECOGNIZED Revenue. To this day whenever they push a version upgrade, it messes up the only stable part of the platform

Our experience at Exercise.com has been terrible. There is no clear line of communication, they are slow to fix any issues, the employees on staff have too much on their plate and can't manage their clients. Our app and migration process was delayed and still has issues. I don't even have a rep to get ahold of as he went on vacation.

I have been with exercise.com for 3 years now and initially it was absolutely awful the set up was long and painful. The migration to the app again painful. But it was a new platform so teething errors were somewhat expected. We finally got to a good place and everything was running smoothly. They have now done an update and it’s even worse than when they first began. I have emailed daily with a different glitch. Support can never actually help they just respond and say we will send to level 2 support or the engineered. You can’t speak directly with engineering so it’s constant bouncing back and forth and takes weeks for things to be sorted affecting your businesses!! But the latest one has completely ruined it for me! My clients measurements that have been in the system for years or months have completely changed eg a waist measurement is recorded in the app as 252cn which is not what I input it is the same for all clients not just one. I input my own weight and then go onto the system and it shows a completely wrong weight so now I have lost all of my clients progress over the years which is so upsetting. It’s so expensive (as an Australian customer) and for the support you receive it’s shocking! I have requested zoom calls to go over glitches and get ignored and refused. They just say they’ll pass the glitch on

Our strength and conditioning gym has 100+ athletes on Exercise.com and its iOS app. We have been experiencing bugs in the software intermittently. They consistently told us it was "user error" for the first ~3 months. Then they began asking us to send screenshots videos of our experience for ~2 months. Then they pushed out a new version of the app and said, "It is fixed. Your users just need to delete the old app and install the new one." It has the exact same issue. They always respond to our emails. However, Exercise never actually does anything when it comes to correcting bugs. After months of no progress trying to resolve multiple issues, I tried to connect directly with the CTO (who by the way was "CTO" of something like 5-10 companies simultaneously - yeah, right!) and he simply ignored me. DO NOT trust your business with this software. The only thing good about the company is their marketing.

Suppose to transition over but their app tech and migration folks (located somewhere overseas) take a few days to reply to each email and after a few interactions it was obvious they are not very good at what they do or have no idea what they are doing based on the repeated questions they ask (same questions that have already been answered). They will also hit you with fees that were never brought up during the first few calls. Not impressed at all and would give ZERO stars if possible. STAY AWAY

My experience with exercise.com over 5-6 months was very poor. I genuinely hope my case was an exception, but it was bad enough that I feel compelled to share. - I lost 16 online clients during the transition from Trainerize to exercise.com. Many of my clients found exercise.com's app confusing—for example, they struggled to find their workout data from week to week, and messaging was unreliable. I’ve since returned to Trainerize, and 90% of my remaining clients have expressed how relieved they are to be back on a platform that works for them. - Messaging on the app was a disaster from the start. Only about half of my clients were able to message me through the app. Most messages were routed as emails instead, creating serious communication issues. This went on for six months while the support team repeatedly said they couldn’t replicate the problem. To my shock, they eventually asked to close the ticket despite the issue never being resolved. - The app’s launch was flawed. Users were able to download all my template programs as PDFs through the web version, leading to significant business losses. - Communication from exercise.com was extremely poor. My account manager and the technical team were often unresponsive. At one point, I heard nothing from them for over two weeks, even though I had active support tickets with urgent problems during my app’s launch. In summary, I took a chance on creating an app with exercise.com because they are a leader in the space. Unfortunately, I was let down. Perhaps they’ve become too large and slow to provide the support I expected, even though I gave them six months to address these issues. I do know colleagues who use their services without problems, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.
