Even Realities - Lack Support and Transparancy.
I’m sharing this experience to help other buyers make an informed decision, especially those considering early-generation hardware from a newer company.
I purchased the Even Realities G1 smart glasses directly from the company in September 2025 for approximately $800. At the time, Even Realities was still a relatively new company, and the G1 appeared to be their first major consumer hardware release. I understood there was some risk involved as an early adopter, but I decided to support the product based on the vision being presented.
Only a few weeks after my purchase, Even Realities released the G2. Had the G2 been announced or available at the time I bought the G1, I would not have made the purchase. I also would have invested in the newer ecosystem, including the ring component.
After the G2 launch, I contacted customer support to ask whether there was any reasonable upgrade accommodation given how close my purchase was to the product transition. While the responses were polite and professional, the outcome was disappointing. The company explained that a limited-time launch promotion had already ended, and the only accommodation offered was a $20 discount toward a future purchase.
Given the original purchase price and the timing, that offer did not feel proportional or meaningful.
Separately, I also want to note product concerns with the G1 itself. In regular use, the device feels slow and unresponsive, with noticeable lag between interactions. Functionality is also limited compared to competing smart glasses on the market, which makes the premium price harder to justify in hindsight.
This review is not about being upset that a newer model exists — product evolution is expected, especially in tech. The concern is how early customers are treated when they take a risk on a first-generation product from a young company and then find themselves on the wrong side of a rapid product transition.
I would strongly encourage potential buyers to research alternatives carefully and to be mindful of timing when purchasing first-generation hardware from newer companies.

Avoid! Horrific customer service
Avoid - terrible customer service
I purchased my Even G1 back in September for the teleprompt feature. When it worked, it was brilliant but I had many issues of it constantly giving me an error and not connecting. Contacted customer support who were seemingly helpful at first asking for logs and giving advice. It translated that they were not working despite that so although I requested a refund (as the new model came out), they said only replacement. Fine.
Replacement sent finally late December with tracking link after I sent mine back. They have a UK return shipping address but new deliveries come from Hong Kong. Waiting....then get an email saying that it's been sent back to shipper (didn't leave Hong Kong). Their response was "an issue with the delivery company - DHL- that they're looking into.
So I paid a premium and haven't been able to use for 3 months. Garbage.
I'm now going to have to escalate this to legal proceedings

A Disappointing Mix of Poor Timing, Mediocre Tech, and AI-Generated Customer Support
I purchased the Even Realities G1 with premium prescription lenses for two thousand seventy-five dollars on September 10, 2025. After waiting more than six weeks, I finally received the glasses on October 22. Less than three weeks later, Even Realities released the G2. No warning. No indication a new model was imminent. Just a brand-new version dropped days after my delivery.
The G1 itself feels like a stopgap product. The tech is inconsistent, the experience is rough, and it is hard to evaluate because the hardware and software never seem fully aligned. I assumed I was buying the current generation. Instead, it seems I purchased the tail end of a product cycle without knowing it.
When I reached out to Even Realities, the replies were extremely polished but clearly AI-generated or AI-assisted. The tone was overly scripted, repeated the same set phrases, and avoided the actual issues I raised. It felt like talking to a chatbot trained to sound empathetic without offering any real help. The politeness did not feel sincere. It felt automated.
Even after I provided all the information they asked for, the company’s stance did not change. The final answer seemed predetermined: no refund, no credit, no upgrade path, no acknowledgment of the timing problem. Only a promotional offer that requires purchasing a G2 anyway.
My retailer was honest and helpful, and they confirmed they had no advance knowledge of the G2 release. That leaves the manufacturer as the only party that knew a new model was weeks away, yet offered customers no disclosure and no remedy afterward.
In my opinion, this entire experience reflects a lack of transparency and a lack of meaningful customer support. The G1 feels like an outdated product the moment it arrives, the G2’s value is unknown, and the support system relies heavily on scripted AI messages instead of real engagement.
If you are considering investing in this ecosystem, proceed with caution. My experience was not what I expected from a company selling “premium” wearable tech.

These glasses were the biggest waste of money I ever had. They are total junk they don't work properly they have glitches they hang up and the company sucks they do nothing about it to help you. Garbage
Garbage. Transcriptions stall and slow. Sometimes minutes pass before conversation appears on screen. I sent the glasses back to the dealer and they came back and they're still useless for transcription. The company admitted the transcription was slow they've done nothing about it stay away from them. They send you stupid little responses.
This is a dishonest company with a dishonest product. If you're hearing impaired and you're depending on this transcription just use a free app on your phone.

Misled about G2 release
Misled about G2 release — denied refund even after asking before purchase
I bought the Even G1 about a month before the G2 was announced. Before I ordered, I directly asked their support team whether a new model was coming, because early leaks were floating around. I was told it was a “system mistake” and that nothing new was about to drop.
I trusted that and bought the G1 at full price, including prescription lenses.
Right after my return window closed, the G2 was officially announced.
When I reached out, support apologized but refused any kind of refund or credit. Even after I offered to absorb the cost of my prescription lenses, they still wouldn’t do anything. They also insisted they learned about the G2 at the same time as customers, which doesn’t match the timeline they previously brushed off as a “mistake.”
On top of that, their SDK being advertised as “open source” is misleading — major features simply aren’t there yet, despite the marketing.
The product is interesting, but the way they handled this has really damaged my trust. Early customers shouldn’t be punished for supporting a small company.

Sconsiglio l’acquisto.
