The GRE test by ETS (ETS, Rosedale Road Princeton, NJ 08541) was late and badly managed, it started 2 hours later than my time slot. It added to my stress because of the serious lapse in the system, I was afraid that I would retake it if I missed my slot. The people online also sounded lazy, like they did not understand English or can't be bothered with the usual login problems faced by those taking the GRE exam. The ETS staff also randomly interrupted my test with a "Hello? Excuse me can check camera" even though they clearly knew it was time sensitive. No extra time was given for these disruptions which occurred multiple times.

Avant de m'inscrire pour les tests en ligne, je vérifie tout le matériel nécessaire et tout est OK. Je m'inscris. Je télécharge leur logiciel de test- comme recommandé et j'effectue encore une fois les tests techniques et TOUT fonctionne !! le jour du test, je me connecte 30 minutes à l'avance , et de nouveau tout fonctionne ! Aprés un énième check technique afin de rentrer dans la salle de test en ligne, on me demande un ID d'examen et un mot de passe, que je ne vois nulle part dans tous mes mails ... je regarde dans mon compte en ligne, rien.. Par politesse j'informe mon examinateur par chat. Je chat avec le call center qui me dit que je n'ai pas besoin de cet ID... or impossible de démarrer le test sur leur logiciel sans cet id... le technicien me recommande de passer le test en ligne sur leur site, en utilisant google chrome.. Ce que j'utilise, Mais celui ci ne détecte ni ma caméra ni mon microphone... j'ai beau recommandé 15 fois ,.. cela ne fonctionne pas alors que tout est activé de mon côté... Evidemment je n'ai pas pu passer le test... l'examinateur m'écrit gentimment "nous avons fait tous les efforts possibles . il n'y aura pas de remboursement.... Je leur ecrit tout de même un mail pour leur exprimer mon mécontentement... ayant en plus suivi TOUTES leurs recommandations... effectué toutes les vérifications nécessaires... je ne suis pas très contente et je ne trouve pas normal que personne n'ait ete en mesure de me donner un ID que je suis censé renseigner dans LEUR logiciel... evidememnt pas moyen d'envoyer ce mail il y'a une erreur technique sur leur site... J'ai besoin d'un test d'anglais et je le ferai au sein d'une autre institutition... je me rend compte a la lecture de ces avis (que j'aurai du lire avant!!) que je suis LOIN d'etre la seule a avoir des difficultés a faire le test en ligne comment perdre 450 francs ou comment ETS se remplit les poches sur le dos des clients je me suis inscrite au test PTE, il faudra aller dans un centre mais en plus c'est moins cher !!!

warning. warning for everyone and for all students. I was duped by ETS. After paying and registering, they scheduled my appointment. When I checked in, the monitor looked at my ID. Suddenly, she swich off the screen. I did not receive any exam at all. I complained, and they told me I would have to wait 22 days. When I asked for a refund, they said I would not get one because of verification, which is incorrect. Everything was correct! Beware of fraud. They just want to take your money and copy your ID and photo!

I ordered a toefl test at home, but when the test was about to begin, they told me they couldnt see my face camera. On my screen everything perfectly works, so we didnt find the problem… after 75 minutes trying so many things, the person who was helping me said; we have tried everything, we can not help you further. There will be no refund or new appointment possible because of this. This is the biggest scam i’ve ever seen in my life. Worst experience ever

I am sharing my recent experience for anyone struggling with the take-home test. ETS uses this company, ProctorU, if you're looking to Google a name. It was beyond horrible, and I feel like my personal safety was violated. Plus, my score was severely damaged due to Proctor's interference. My issues: I could not use my ergonomics keyboard to type, which I required for a medical issue. The Proctor repeatedly interrupted my test because he could not see a door, causing me to experience MASSIVE stress during the exam. It was unprofessional and rude. He was constantly talking and interrupting me, which continuously broke my focus and angered me. I could not concentrate, and my score was severely impacted. The fact I had to showcase my private living facilities to a stranger on the internet to take an exam is a MAJOR violation of my privacy and safety. That person could have easily tracked down my location, found me in person, and attempted to cause physical harm. You are apparently recorded the entire time, which is not disclosed upfront. I DID NOT consent to store my video data in their database, and I required proof it had been destroyed. ProctorU has failed to follow up. Being recorded is another invasion of privacy. When I started the exam, I had to ask the Proctor about being recorded, and he hesitated to confirm. This means he would not have informed me otherwise. The last time I took the test in person, I was able to use noise-canceling headphones, have proper accommodations, and actually write on paper. If there were locations near me, I would retake the test in person to avoid dealing with the company ProctorU ever again.

Scheduled Praxis At Home. Could not launch the test despite logging in early. Called Customer Service. Was told to call Proctor U. Called ProctorU was told that they had no record of my account, was told to call ETS, and was hung up on. Called ETS and was told they had to wait a day for a report from ProctorU. Could not test. Called ETS again and have been on hold for over 30 minutes. ZERO customer service. This company is a SCAM. There are many reports of this company stealing money from test takers. It is TIME TO END THE ETS. There is no competition for this company, for many exams, you have to use them. This is completely a SCAM. Loss: $160 Cons: Scam company Preferred solution: Full refund User's recommendation: Nothing to recommend. ETS is a SCAM company.

A lot of phone numbers, and no one can solve the problems. Test preparation product? False advertisement. I bought one test prep that was supposed to be interactive, they also let you try it out but once you buy it, is completely different and boring, like the regular one you get with the test purchase.

I can’t get my test score sent to my university!!!! Their site was “down” in my window to add the test (they don’t send it to your university.) I contacted them within the 3 day window about their faulty site with no reply. I replied over and over again and they keep asking for more information and now $50!!! What a SCAM!!! I could not be more UNHAPPY with their lack of customer service. I hope people from the state read this and find an ethical way to do testing.
