I spent close to $200 on this candle
I spent close to $200 on this candle, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. First, the candle is advertised as white, but it is actually much more of an off-white/cream color, which was disappointing right out of the box. The bigger issue, however, is the way it burns. It burns incredibly quickly and drips an excessive amount of wax. I’ve never had a candle drip wax like this one does. You can only burn it for about 30 minutes if you’re using a tray with a shorter lip, because the wax quickly runs over the sides. If you want to burn it longer, you need to put it in a dish with a lip that is several inches high—which then completely takes away from the look and design of the candle. For something that costs close to $200, I expect much better design, performance, and quality. Unfortunately, this feels like a very poorly designed product that is nowhere near worth the price. I was also disappointed with the customer service experience. I would have expected a company selling a luxury-priced product to be more interested in listening to the customer and trying to make things right. Instead, the experience left me feeling as though the priority was simply making the sale. Whatever you do, I would strongly recommend skipping The Hall of the Mountain Candle. It is far too expensive for what you actually receive and customer service is not about its clients.
