ErgeonReviews of ergeon.com

The promptness of the appointment was great. I was able to schedule the appointment and have someone look at the damage quickly. I was disappointed that the quote given was much higher than the other quotes I received. Based on the quote and the conversation I had with the salesperson, I would have been given unnecessary equipment that may not have been required for the job. In addition, the salesperson never tried to compare the quotes and offer a reasonable solution to my problem. More than likely I will not use your services for my project.

I started the process the beginning of June to get my fence installed. I was given a date of July 1st for installation. When I had the video meeting nothing was mentioned about needing a permit. I just moved to this area and did not know one was required and assumed they would take care of it since it was not mentioned. The day before installation they text me saying a permit was needed so they would have to reschedule. They generously offered to obtain a permit for me with a charge of $150-$250 🙄 The permit cost $25 and took me 5 minutes to complete the application and it was emailed to me. I was told to text once I received the permit, which I did with no response. In the mean time i received several different instillation dates that kept changing. So I called and left a message for clarification. Someone did return my call by the end of the day to give me the correct date. The day of installation one guy showed up to install the fence by himself. If it was not for the great job that he did by himself I would give this experience a lower score. He worked hard and completed the fence and I love the job he did!

We had issues on communication, but it was resolved with good work, And willingness to make up for it.

I am updating my prior review. After much discussion and negotiation they have now repaired the problems with my fence. The new crew confirmed to the company that the quality of the workmanship and materials l was extremely poor. The new crew was prompt, communicated well and got the job done. It was quite a journey to get there but the end result is good. If they would have been there at the start of the project it would have been a one day project.

First, the date I used is approximate. I had my backyard fenced in. I give Ergeon 3 stars. It is my opinion that communicating with Ergeon about was too much of a challenge for me. Seemed very slow to answer texts return phone calls. My opinion they did not perform a satisfactorily clean up after the fence was installed. Large dirt clods, red clay on top of mulch, small flags to identify where fence was to installed were left laying on ground, and debris left, One fence post was replaced - had holes drilled in wrong place. I asked more than once for a supervisor or manager to come and view the issues. That did not happen. Ergeon did send me a "box of food" that I did not ask for. Overall, I have not been satisfied with their communications and the absence of a decent cleanup.

I like that the follow up time was impressive, and important to me. He seems knowledgeable, and has an innovative approach. He has been helpful, and patient.

The sale department has no idea what their subcontractors are doing for sure. Everything in the preplanning phase is decent. They use satellite image to estimate cost then send their regional subcontractor to do a physical walk through once the estimate has been accepted. Everything up to this point is fine even with the seller lack a bit of technical knowledge. For example, the seller didnt know that wood fences arent suppose to touch the ground and assured us that the fence would not have gap from the ground ( this didnt turn out true and I am now looking for ways to give my fence a finished look). This is not a big deal for me. However, their execution of the agreed upon project left much to be desired. I had originally agreed to have a fence installed using raw pressure treated wood fence and then applied the sealing and staining after the installation was finished. This plan was completely disregarded by the local subcontractor representing Ergeon. They bought prestained materials and then lied to my face and to the Ergeon HQ about the staining labor. It was a lot of back and forth with Ergeon HQ to sort thing out. The craftmanship is alright and the people who actually did the job was polite and prompt in their work. The turn around time (TAT) for the project is 6-8 weeks after the contract was signed. My project was changed hands twice before anyone came out to the work at the 8th week. It did only take them 3 days to finish the job so i guess they still technically met their TAT. Ergeon does have someone at the HQ available for me to constantly call for update so at least communication is not a weak point. I think they just dont have good handle on their subcontractors. We ended up paying the original agreed upon invoices but with such a disconnect between HQ and subcontractor, I would advise buyer to be wary of this company.
